Cell Phones! Out Of Control??
Two days later, and I am still sick in the bed with this cold
Yesterday I snuck out to get my paycheck(gotta do that), and put it in the bank. When I was at the bank counter my phone rang. I looked at the teller, smiled and told her I wasn't going to answer it. She looked at me, smiled back and said "thank you".. That kinda made my day.
In the last couple weeks I have been a proponent of "get off the darn phone". At the market I told the manager that they need to put a sign up on each cashier station saying you will not be waited on if you are on the phone!!
Some places I go to have those signs.
Also, I have been guilty of this phone crap too. After seeing others do it so much, I asked myself "am I that bad"?? The answer was, I was WORSE!!
That's why in my little way, I am doing something about it.
I don't talk in lines no more.
If I am talking to somebody, I don't answer the phone.
And if I do answer the phone out somewhere, I will make sure I move to a place where I am not annoying others.
Just my small contribution to this vastly snowballing problem..

I hate to admit it but I'll problably buy my first cell phone this year to put in the truck in case of an emergency though. You know, in case I drive off a cliff or something of that nature and I need emergency assistance.

Case in point, before cell phones came out, women did most the yapping on the phones with the buddies than men. Just like men bang the beer, talk cars/trucks/motorcycle more than women.
It's going to get real crazy out there, real crazy.

And I hate talking on the phone, my long distance bill is usually less than $10 a month and most of my friends and family are long distance. See next post.
PS, it's already crazy out there
