I wasn't a big fan of the National Anthem picks either.
Skinny is much better than overweight. How many 60 year olds on this forum can run around like he does?

Yep. It's hard to beat the Brits when it comes to Rock and Roll. They were music geniuses. Todays groups are why I turned to Country music.

To young..Thanks for the complement

Dont get me wrong...in their prime the Stones were good. Not my favorite, but a very good group who had some amazing music. But as CrAz3d said, there comes a time to pass the torch...for the Stones, that time was at least Saturday night, because on Sunday they were terrible. I felt embarrased for them. If they keep doing shows like that, they will, without a doubt, ruin their good name and image....

Mick...take the boys on a vacation and enjoy the reast of your life

The Stones would have been a great halftime show (I'm 26 and enjoy their music, always have, great tunes never go out of style), but the sad fact was that they sounded terrible. Too bad Jagger's voice isn't in as good shape as the rest of him.

i think the mixing was terrible, you could not hear the bass or the drums. the band sounded like they needed to practice. even the end of the songs sounded like noone in the bad new when to stop playing. i like the stones, but it was a poor performance.

i recently watched Cream on th hd channel and trust me, age isnt the problem, creamed sounded like they had practiced and that after all these years they can still play and play well.

the rolling stone could not, or would not exist today. the record companies would never keep them around that long so that they could mature and get paid the big $$$.

I think the mixing and the sound system was pretty bad which just added to both the pregame and halftime shows sounding so bad. Not to mention that the boys didnt get any time to set up gear and sound check equipment like they normally would in a regular concert environment.

I saw the Stones 2 years ago and I can tell you they sounded 1000 times better then that halftime show. I really think it was the mixing the sound system and the lack of being able to prepare that made it what it was.

The Stones music is ageless, they how ever are not.

With that said and the fact they just look old and tired now. The mixing of the show was to blame for the majority of what everyone is complaining about. It didn't sound like they were even miked up. Everyone at this point should know a lot of shows have background tapes playing while they sing live to make the singer look better and give the audience a better show. That was deffinitely not the case for this show. Maybe the Stones don't roll like that (pardon the pun) but it was just horrible. They aren't horrible but the show was bad. Even the tongue part being rolled up went bad, that was a horrible presentation.

Stones suck my left nut. They should have had hometown homie Marshel Mathers and Nate Dogg sing their new song "Shake That". Now THAT would have been a ½ time show.

Diane Ross/Supremes, Temptations, Four Tops, Martha Reeves/Vandellas , Smokey Robinson/Miracles, Gladys Knight/Pips, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gayes father or even Berry Gordy I could go with. But no way in hell do I wanna see someone whose name is Dogg unless it is 3 Dog Night.
