Where would you go???
I'm going to move to Osage Beach Mo, Lake Off The Ozrarks. I love it there, has everything I need, Great food and entertainment, beautiful lake for fishing and boating, and dont forget the party cove where there is always an abundance of beautifulk women. Plus alot of places to hunt and 4 wheeling! Too bad I'm stuck in California right now
Phew....Luckily, our current "boat" only has a 3HP motor...probably will only take 1 gallon of gas a day. But as for taking that canoe out on the ozarks? Are you freakin crazy? Table Rock Lake sure thing, no problem if you stay in the coves, but Ozark would be suicide...

It's almost sucide in my 20 footer with 200 hp inboard V8.
I can't keep up with those twin big block Scarabs.

Maybe one day I can afford to buy the gas for one of those for more than 15 mins.

Looked at one to buy last summer and almost had myself talked into it. But then reality kicked in and realized I couldn't afford to feed twin 454's with 4, 4 barrels.

Ohh yea she is stable.
3500lb fiberglass tri hull
She stands above the water a little further too. Less likely to get ran over at LOTO. (Note: key word is less likely)
Shy of a two story 90' yacht no one is excempt there. Even with the yacht you are only less likely to get hit.
I will take the Jet Ski out on Lake Ozark. Those big boats throw some nasty wakes that it will be fun to jump off of.
Last year I hit one wake in the boat and fell 12' plus! Once in the wake I could not see land on any side of me, just huge walls of water. Shattered the base of my seat when we landed too.
Ahh good times.
I think that I do know where an 1981, 22 foot Baja jet boat with 327 inboard is for $1500!
Baja is a fast hull and the 81 is suppose to be the fastest hull they made. It's very fast, very nimble. Needs some TLC in the interior; like new capet, uphosltry etc. It's very useable, it has just looked better. Floor is good, and seat frames are good as fas as I know. Only thing keeping it off the water is it needs a shifter cable. It has been kept in a heated and air conditioned garage when not in use for atleast the last 8 years that I've known the boat. It has a Berkley outdrive, it could use a new impeller. Great out of the hole, a little slow on the top end. (still plenty fast) Just not as fast as it could be. A new impeller and it would probably be able to keep up with mine. (Least till I get a new prop for mine too. LOL) It still beats me out of the hole but I catch up quick. If he still has it when I'm done fixing mine, then I will probably buy it for my next project and sale mine.

Hey PSS share the love! That's what I'm looking for.......and it's right in my cheap price range. Last boat I looked at was a 1979 Checkmate 17' Predictor, with a 120 HP Merc on it. It was ok, the outside was decent, with only a little fading, nothing a good buffing couldn't fix probably, inside was moldy, saggy, etc, trailer was rusted, tires were shot, and the guy wanted too much and didn't seem like he wanted to budge on his price.

If he does then I'll send you an email with his number.
I'll let you know in a few.

Last year on the water gas was $4.96 most of the summer.
This year it will get over $5 per gallon.
That's $310 just to fill the tank on the boat.
Man I'll paddle!
That's why I always fill the truck and the boat up before we get to the water.
Took a trip last summer in my boat for a long weekend. One tank to get there, one tank while there and one tank to get home. 200 miles each way and a 150 gallon tank. Cost of gas was $2.55 on the water.
I called the guy he hasnt called me back yet. Probably won't tonight. He'll probably try and call me tomarow. We'll play phone tag for a while.
$1147.50
Yea but it's fun.
Man makes me like this little 5.0 I.O. 2 brl, more and more.
Has 20 gal tank. I fill it and the truck up at the pump.
The Lake that I prefer to go to is 45 min drive away.
Takes 1/2 tank in the truck to get there.
Put boat in the water soon as I get there Friday evening and set up camp.
Play for 3-4 hours in the boat. Mostly joy ride.
Wake up at day break on Saturday and start playing. Pulling skis, tubes, kneeboard til sun down.
Eat supper
Take a 2 hour midnight cruise
Sleep
wake up at day break Sunday and play til about 4 in the afternoon, pulling ski's tubes and kneeboarding.
Still have 1/2 tank of gas left after 2 full days.
pack up and leave.
1/2 tank in truck back home.
Next time we go out, 10 gallons fills the boat back up.
Roughly 35 gallons of gas in truck and boat. For a full weekend of boating fun and I never have to buy gas on the water.
I go out atleast one day every other week thru the summer.
Once a month we spend a weekend on the water w/ friends. Once a year we spend a week or two on the water, friends come and visit off and on.
I love it! When I retire this is my daily routine every day. I'll have a house right on the water edge and my own dock. Soon as I wake up I'll be out in the boat.
