Ski Utah??

I'm thinking about planning a trip to Utah. Have any of you ever been out there skiing before. What are some good resorts to ski at? Where are some places to stay that are convenient to everything?

Thanks for the help.

I live just outside of Salt Lake City (Ogden area). I don't ski but a lot of the guys I work with do. I'll find out and send you something Monday. This place is crawling with ski resorts. (2002 Winter Olympics were here...) BTW, we are going to get hit with another snow storm tonight through tomorrow- if you are a powder hound, you're going to like it here. One thing I CAN tell you: bring money....

Thanks WillieP. I have heard that Utah is a little cheaper than Colorado, but I don't for sure. The Ogden area is one area I was considering.

There's a lot here in the Ogden area and I know that we get people from all over who come here to ski, as well as "Hollywood type" celebs. This is also a golfer's paradise. Golf clubs and snow skis- coming off of the same flights at SL International. Ski in the AM, golf after lunch, 30 minutes away. I've lived in 9 states (AF career) and I've never been to a area with such good courses at such reasonable prices. (I'm originally from Tennessee) We'll see if we can't get you hooked up with some good info tomorrow.....

Okay, the word is Snow Basin is the place to go. (That's where some of the 2002 WInter Olypics skiing events took place). It's about 15 minutes from Ogden. Their lift tickets are $58.00, but you can get discounts at sporting good stores for $49.00. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
