Wink Tell Me About DisneyWorld

I haven't been there in almost a decade. Going back in less than a month. 6nights/7days with 5days for the 4 Disney parks and 2 for Universal and whatever else. What should I for sure hit up and see and do and where to eat? Staying on the property at the Polynesian. I'm exicted even at damn near 25. lol

EPCOT is the best.

I only spend half a day at the Magic Kingdom, and several days at EPCOT.

The night parade and the fireworks show is the best anywhere.

If you like beer/ale, make sure you get a pint or 2 at the English Pub, out in the back.

My personal pref is Islands of Adventure (universal) but Epcot is my fav Disney park. There's cool rides at all of them. Don't waste too much time at Magic Kindom though, and go in the middle of the week, unless you like to be in close quarters with gobs of people.

This was a Sat in November, every picture was the same. Fookin people everwhere.

it's a small world after all

Me, my wife, and our 2.5 year old went in June. Mistake! First of all, a 2.5 year old, while having a great time on the rides, etc... (that he could do) didn't understand having to WAIT in lines. That made things miserable. The first day was the absolute worst. I also don't really recommend going in June... too damn hot and humid especially when waiting in those lines. You are doing the right thing by going in Jan/Feb. If you haven't done it, then the Aerosmith Rockin' Roler Coaster is a good ride. The fact that Aerosmith is perhaps my favorite band didn't hurt anything either. The wife and I had to ride this one seperately though becuase the boy was too little. We did a character breakfast in the Polynesian, but that is geared to the little ones. We stayed in the Jamaican Hotels... can't remember what the overall island name was for the resort. We actually chose to eat less inside Disney sticking more to snacks and tried to eat bigger meals outside....

Looking back, I wouldn't stay in the resort again. You can do it all and save by staying outside. Guess the only thing you miss out on by staying outside would be the extended hours... but we really couldn't do that with the 2.5 year old anyway.

Enjoy, it will be fun. By the way it was my first time. Really the only negative was entertaining a screaming boy while waiting in lines.

Find Pleasure Island. Lot's of clubs and nightlife. Especially if you're into that sort of thing.

Make sure to go on "Dinosaur" or whatever it's called now in Animal Kingdom. If you are staying on Disney grounds, there are little machines by big rides that you insert your room key and it gives you a ticket to come back later and you only have to wait in line for like 5 minutes tops usually. If I think of any other good rides, I'll tell ya. I went in October and had a blast.

Get the line passes at Disney. They only have them for certain rides but the Test track ride in Epcot is worth it. Just go first thing and get the pass so you dont wait in line. I got mine at 11:00 am and my ticket was already set for 4:00pm it was sold out quick. They are free and saves time from waiting.

Mission Space was great in Epcot was great too.

The Tower of Terror or whatever it is called in MGM studios is great! Must see

Universal is the better of the parks if you want rides etc. I paid extra for the speed pass there too...well worth it when you have to wait hours for a ride versus 10 minutes. THe rides are amazing....Spiderman 3d was the best 3d ride I've ever been on...Hulk was great....I definitely preferred Universal over Disney but than again I did Epcot and MGM in one day.

You'll have a great time.

Sweeet. I saw a commercial for a package like that under 1500. It is definitely on our vacation list someday, but for this year, I want a cruise.
