Talk about bad freakin luck. The 13th brought out Dzervits. Ok, now I am putting away the sharp objects for the rest of this day.

Sled...

Oookaaaay. Tonight a white dog ran out of nowhere in the freezing rain in my path as I was about to cross a bridge. I was going 45 mph. I stood on the brakes, and all I saw were it's eyes looking at mine as it let out a horrid screaming bark.

I missed that thing by a millimeter! Not an inch, nor a foot... but a millimeter! I think I might have ran over it's tail because when I looked in the rearview it skeedaddled. I don't think it did anything to my truck. At least my anti-lock brakes work fine. Dumb dog. Maybe Friday the 13th is bad luck?

Peace I think you got pretty lucky.
One it was just a dog so even if you hit it then it was just a dog.
Physically it's not like a deer or anything so it's not going to do alot of damage. Then it's not like a kid or something so... thank GOD!
Second slamming on your brakes on ice... even with ABS you could have still lost control or if it would have decided to fail you definatly would have lost control. Then you could have ended up in the ditch or in the river. Either way could have totalled the truck or even killed you. If it's smaller than me and not a human. I'm driving straight and hope that it moves even on dry pavement. I won't ditch for nothing.

So I thrink your pretty lucky that nothing happened except a little scare. I stil dont think it happend just because it is Friday the 13th. That can happen any day any time.
