anyone with polycystic kidney disease?
My father's side of the family has dealt with it. Many of the men on that side of my family had it and passed away at a very young age. This was back in the 50's & 60's, so perhaps the diagnosis is better now for the disease.
My understanding is that it tends to pass from generation to generation by going from the mother to the sons, or the father to the daughters. This was of a BIG concern in my immediate family because we had seven girls and one boy (me). All the girls were taken in and tested for it, and thankfully, did not have the disease.
Don't know if that helps or not....
