XBOX360 + Call of Duty = Vommit Attack
XBOX360 + Call of Duty = Vommit Attack
OK, let me try to post this again...
The Cliff notes version.
I was playing Call of Duty on my friends X Box 360. A few games have made me nauseous (1st person shooters) but none have ever wrenched my guts before, until now...
I could play Madden 06 all day with no ill effects, but after 10 - 15 minutes of running Vasili through a maze of trenches, and killing about 30 bad guys, Call of Duty had me dizzy, sweating and holding onto the sink vomiting at a pace to easily shed enough to lose a good 2 pounds a day. I don't know if it's the improved graphics, the motion of the game, or if I'm an undiagnosed epileptic.
Has this ever happened to anyone aside from me?
Please tell me I'm not the only SOB that can't enjoy blasting bad guys on Call of Duty.

The game has a warning on it, and suggests playing it on a smaller TV if it causes nausea. We were playing it on a 65" wide-screen TV.
I'm not gonna chance it though... Bring on Madden, you guys can keep the 1st person shooters... Ironically, I can play Need for Speed without getting sick, as long as it's black road. When the roasd is cobblestone, that gets me a little unsettled.
I can't play 1st person shooters at all...10-15 minutes and I'm about to lose it. Though I've never puked because of it. Been this way since DOOM, Hexen, etc.
Racing games, and all the others I've tried so far, give me no problems.

I do it on some games. COD2 on the PC was fine for me though. F.E.A.R. on the other hand had me feeling pretty bad after a few minutes. The original DOOM would get me after an hour or so.
I remember watching my nephew playing Ri**** on his XBOX. I got sick after 5 minutes of watching that. That was on a 20" flat screen.
I use a super high Def 19" monitor and I think the higher definition helps. I've noticed with UT2k4 that anything under 1024x768 will leave me feeling loopy after a couple hours. I can play at 1024x768 (I run 1280x1024 usually) all day long.

I get light headed with things like this but only in the last few years, and it hasn’t been getting any better.
The theme park rides where your movements are simulated while watching the screen, is where I noticed the problem for the first time.

:santa: I'm another one. I've played all the games- Doom, Quake, even the first Call to Duty... But this new one, ugh. I love the game, but after about 15 minutes, I'm ready to chirp. Maybe its the graphics, maybe I'm getting old. Nope, it's the graphics.
