If we give him half a chance, he may just pick himself up by his bootstraps.

God knows, if nothing else he's resilent.

Well, if you see a big Suge Knight-looking brother, rolling a 745Li on 19" 5-spokes, on the Jersey turnpike, with 4 adults and 2 kids in the car, that'll be me.

I always do the driving, wherever I am!

On Christmas Eve, after dinner with my parents. We all then load up in our vehicles and we go to my Great Grandma's to take her presents and visit. Then after that we go driving around looking at christmas lights for an hour or two. While looking at christmas lights one of the local radio stations plays christmas music and does a little "tracking santa" bit.
They break in (sometimes in the middle of the song) with an urgent official sounding news announcment, and the local sherrif comes on with an urgent message that an unidentified flying object has been reported in the next county. Witnesses claim that it has a bright red light and appears to be going from one house to another. We'll keep you updated as we learn more.... (more christmas music). After several other breaks of how close this object is getting and other info on the un identfied flying object. The Sherrif comes back on and says they have now idnetified the object and it appears to be Santa. So all kids should get to bed imediatly!" By this time they have placed him at the edge of the city limits now!

When the kids hear that they start jumping up and down, (No they are not buckeled in, we are litterally ideling around the neighborhoods). Christmas lights no longer matter anymore! They HAVE to get to bed NOW! If I even hint that I want to go down one more street to see some lights on it, the tears break out. They start sobbing "We're going to miss Santa! We haven't gotten his milk and cookies out! Also we have got to leave the feed for the reigndeer too! He isn't going to leave us anything if we dont get to be-e-e-e-e-ed! (Whaaaaay)"

So they get buckeled in and we race for home. (we dont really race I just keep it in a lower gear and grip the steering wheel with both hands, making lots of over framatic sudden turn wit hteh steering wheel.) They think we are racing home.
.....
Great minds think alike. I do the same driving bit with the rocking back and forth to simulate speed....kids sliding around on the leather (3mph peeps dont freak).

We do the good will thing too.

The count down we watch is the Santa tracker at
http://www.noradsanta.org/index.php

The closer he gets the sillier they get.

Merry Christmas to all ya nuts :santa:

Ohh I wasn't being mean...
Jamzwayne, Bill, and Brewdude already call me Matt 1/2 the time, and others also do at other times.
More than one Matt gets confusing.
We need to start including middle or last initials or something or use screen names only.

Look whos talking ^^

Yea I use to have a more active life, but with kids our kerfew is 9:00.
We actually just got home from visiting some friends and trying to get kids to bed.

Wife and I were just talking about that on the way home, some kids made an ignorant move in town and I had to come to a complete stop on a 5 lane road to let them cross. boys and they were turned around yelling at me cussing me like I was the stupid one. (I have a problem with minor road rage) so they got the bird. Wife wasnt paying a ttention till she seen the birdie fly. Then she looks up and says "What just happened?" So I told her, and she says, "If it were 11 years ago we would have been pulling into that parking lot right behind them. wouldn't we?" I said "Yea I'd like to go Jamzwayne on those punks!" she says "Huh?.... Ohh must be some of that F150 crap."

I've always been nice to Tritoneer. Stood up for him a few times and taken some blows for it.

NJ Turnpike to Exit 7A, right? No, I'll be on the Garden State Parkway. Oh well.

Heck, I don't know... All I know is it's a turn pike...

Knowing him, I'll probably end up driving from Newark to Freehold when I arrive. Just punch in the address on the nav system, and I'll take it from there!

Turnpike is the worst road to drive in NJ. That's why we have a bad reputation. But we are a BEAUTIFUL state.
