With all due respect to everyone elses, here's my view
I would really like to see the general forum be related to the F150 or pickups in general. I find too much non truck related stuff on here. The reason I come here is to discuss trucks.

There are a ton of other forums for truck talk. We squeeze in truck related stuff occasionally but with all due respect...GD is just that GD...why not just go to the other forums for general truck talk.

Possibly but it is the second most used forum behind the Lightning...so the clicks and ad hits would go too.

Why is it every F150 forum I register on is super restrictive on their Off-topic and GD sections?
Every other site I am on has a wild GD and Off-topic section. It's where people go to play between informative posts. There shouldnt be too many truck posts in GD as their tons of other areas for it.

Maybe I am just not meant for F150 forums. Seems like they all seem to be kinda uptight. Need to loosen up and have some fun threads.

In all honesty, it's probably time to re-up this thread. While the majority of banter within this forum is mundane and pretty unabrasive, some of the more recent conversation centers around intentional verbal attacks and really 'ripping' people, things, and ideas.

This is the place to discuss off-topic items -- and, in general, is used correctly but, threads where the only purpose is to jump on and rip will be snubbed in short order. Additionally, individuals who are found to be continually and intentionally abrasive/rude will probably find a few days away from the site.

In a nutshell, we're going to continue to enforce a PG-13 rated ship here and items that are much off of that pace will be dealt with. Further, there are specific individuals who continually step up to be abrasive with just about every post that they make -- be it here or in other forums on the site. Those individuals need to check the attitude at the door and participate rather than comment.

This is good news! I know there are a lot of us that read the GD forum for a welcome break at work. However, it is something that we can't if we allow sugestive or inappropriate photographs or comments.

Thanks again RP for keeping the peace!
