With a 5 spd I could have lower gears and therefore be able to get more power to the ground and pull more. For the guy that said the F150 could pull more, uhh, maybe it doesnt occur to you, but a truck A has more power/torque and more gears(lower) than truck B than guess who pulls better? Im not sure why thats so hard to understand. More power + more gears to choose from = better towing. Honestly, high rpm power combined with higher gears from a 4 spd auto is great for a sports car, but for a truck it sucks.

I completely agree with the power and how quick this truck is bone stock. We also have an Armada. Most of you knows it's a SUV version of titan, which is our family car and wifey's daily driver. And also i've got to drive it from time to time . I would not race one if i see one on the street. If i got some performance mods on my truck, maybe, if i don't, i wouldn't. I can't even catch my wife when she's trying to show off to me, and shes a GIRL I just wish i have the same power this car has on my truck. Then i don't have to do some performance mods. But i like how my truck looks like and it's a FORD. Maybe some performance mods in the future, then maybe i can kick her butt... oopppss wifey's coming. All i can say is Nissan did a good job on this thing when it comes to power. Do you think i can swap her engine on to my truck? (just kidding). Now i'm still a Ford guy, so don't jump on me if i have a nissan.

I know, I know, i post a nissan pic here. Hey, my truck is there too.

I wouldn be to embarresed about the GMC beating you. Chevy/GMC's are always quicker than our Fords. Thats what I love about Chevy so much (flame me) If he only had an exhaust, and with your mods, Id say you shoulda ran about even, but if he smoked you-Yeah he prob had a lil more.

I dont race Chevys just because I know they can smoke me for the time being

PS-I agree. Screw the "this is a truck, made for truck like things, of which none include hauling a$$"

I want a truck for truck like things and to get around, but goddamit I wanna HAUL A$$ and get from point A to point B faster than the other guy.

Like I said though, right now-no racing other people. With 32 inch tires, 3:55 gears and a pretty much stock 4.6, Im not exactley quick. Or should I say, not exactley quick at the moment

I have a supercrew 4x4, I do not get "smoked" by any means by a 2005 Single Cab lowered 1500, with exhaust. I do not win, but I do not lose by much at all. I actually am winning until we hit about 35-40mph. So that statement is complete bs, if his truck was a crewcab, I guarantee you I'd beat him stock even with his exhaust. He threw 2 more people in his truck and it made a difference. I have yet to race him with my e-fans installed, but I am willing to bet I'll beat him. Bring a chevy w/exhaust next to me and I'll smoke you. Everytime I've raced him it was right after unplugging my battery, so the shift patterns were retarded.

All you guys talking about beating Titans & Chevy's/GMC's... Is this before or after the monkeys fly out of your as$...

Come on guys... Enough is enough... EVERYONE knows the Titan is faster than the F150. This is not an insult or vote of confidence for Nissan, just a statement of fact. You can dump all the cash you want into a F150, unless you put in a super charger or nitrous in it, it isn't going to outrun ANY Titan unless the Titan driver is asleep at the wheel. 700lbs lower curb weight + 5 spd auto + more torque & hp = faster truck, it's that simple...

Are you kidding me? Have you even driven a Titan? Look at my 0-60 videos, and look for the titan's 0-60, there you go. After my tuner I should be able to destroy one, I am slightly faster than a similarly loaded titan with the few mods I have. I do not even have a dealer reflash, I had a pretty quick stock F-150, quicker than the same equipped 05 I test drove (my truck is no longer stock).

I just test drove a titan, and I have the pics to prove it if interested as well as the quote for the titan I drove, and the business card. I am known as anything but a liar on here, and I have no problem admitting if the competition is better, which they are stock for stock. I need to get my truck out to a track soon, in fact I'm going to check at the sac raceway to run the 1/4th.

I raced a Rumble bee the other yesterday after work. Guy I work with have one and we'd been talking trucks for a while. After work Saturday (stupid mandatory overtime), we lined up at a back road and went at it.
He has a intake, headers and full catback(think he said magnaflow).
I have intake, tuner, exhaust, underdrive pullies and 4.10s. Both trucks regular cabs

We did two runs.
My truck jumped to a lead both runs till about 35-40, then we both accelerated about the same..
I'd say I beat him by about two truck lengths both times.. maybe 1.5.. Hemi regular cab is a pretty decent truck.. sprecially with his mods.

Are you kidding me??? You obviously HAVEN'T driven a Titan, because you would know it will stomp a stock F150 with out trying. It will beat a mod'd F150 with nothing more than a cat-back on it. I don't see any video of anything other than a burnout in a parking lot. I'm not calling you a liar in so many words but a bunch of guys like to mislead people out of blind loyalty to Ford (which is pretty silly if you ask me). Your video woiuld prove nothing unless you ran two trucks side by side and verified the accuracy of the test equipment. I've driven several Titan's. One of my best friends has one. His truck will obliterate mine, I know, I've raced him several times. He refuses to race me any more cause he doesn't want to hurt my feelings. Like someone pointed out a few posts ^^^ it's a simple formula... More tq/hp + more gears to move that power = faster truck, it's a no brainer. The F150 is a better driver than the Titan, I'll give you that, plus it sure as hell looks 1000% better. Like I said, I believe 99% of guys who say they beat Titans in a race did so in their dreams...

Just curious... what are the 2004 and newer Fords running the 1/4 mile?

Both stock and with the normal mods (filter/exhaust/chip/etc...) ?

I know the older models would run 15.5 with the 5.4 and 15.6 with the 4.6 5-speed... So wasn't sure what the new trucks will run.

0-60 around 8.5-9.5 & 1/4 around 16.5-17.5 @ 82-84 MPH... Nothing to be proud of. My Aunt's Buick Lesabre will beat that. My Mom's Caddy Deville will beat it as well...

I haven't driven a Titan? Really? I must have been what you call, "dreaming". I guess that dream emptied my tank to the Nissan dealership as well. Like I said, I 0-60'd the Titan and I have a 0-60 video of my truck, my truck has about a 7.8 0-60 (roughly) and the Titan I test drove (both supercrews/crewcabs) was a flat 8.0 seconds. My gf also agreed my truck as is will pull on the truck we test drove. I never have lied about my truck or its standings, and I have video's to prove it, what do you want from me? I am hardly what you'd call a Ford Fanboy, unless it means I've bought more than 1 Ford from them. Take a look at that thread "What have you raced?" a while back and you'll notice I admit to losing a lot, but I know my truck and I am very analytic when it comes to vehicles, prior to this debate I posted about my test drive, so take a look at that and you'll see I admitted to the weaknesses in my truck, as well as the Titan, and glorified the Titan in several ways, none the less. Please tell me why you would accuse me of being an in denial Ford fanboy after reading that.
