Monster.com....(Damn is that expensive)

...wow....I have only used Monster.com for FINDING a job....which I never did....but I have a position that may be opening up here at work.........so....I figured I would post a job description and search through some resumes......

....DAY'AM!!!....


...Just to post a job opening is:
1 $395.00 each
2-4 $360.00 each Save 8 % per job
5-9 $290.00 each Save 26 % per job
10-14 $250.00 each Save 36 % per job
15-29 $210.00 each Save 46 % per job
30-59 $158.00 each Save 60 % per job
60-99 $127.00 each Save 67 % per job


......if I want to search through resumes:
2-Week Access Views Price
100 mile radius 400 $500.00
National 500 $950.00

1-Month Access Views Price
100 mile radius 3,000 $950.00

100 mile radius 15,000 $2,500.00
National 15,000 $4,000.00

6-Month Access Views Price

Looks like the good 'ole classifieds is all that is gonna be used for this......

I browse monster quite often, but there's never anything in my field anywhere near me... and I'm not looking to move for a while...

did you try stlouishelpwanted.com ? its not as popular as monster, but its more local. I don't know if they advertise there, but I know the one near here, panamacityhelpwanted.com , has TONS of commercials on the radio.
just an idea

It would be for an "engineering tech" position in Granite City....doing CAD and construction monitoring work....it is not a for sure deal yet...I was just doing some research on where I could advertise for it when it did open up....

I'm moving to the area in about 9 months
But I have no experience in that field, and no schooling, or anything else that would qualify me in any way. But I DO drive an F-150....that has to count for something

Well we would be looking for someone with experience in the field....and most importantly with extensive experience with Autodesk products....

I was a combat engineer in the Marine Corps (MOS: 1371). Basically, I was a grunt with C4. Does that help any?

Not for the possible position....but if you have any of the C4 left we need to talk privately.....

That information is classified...I could tell you, but then, I'd have to kill you. Sorry.

I guess I'm doomed to stay in the tech support field till the end of my days....which is coming soon I might add....if I stay here too much longer, I might go mad.

Well.....after more than a month of no applicants....I broke down and started an employer account with Monster.com to see if it is productive.....hopefully I will get better responses than I did with the local papers.....

There's actually quality jobs out there that nobody wants? Daaaym! That's good news right der.

There aren't any here. I've been looking for another 3D drafting/modeling/design job for quite some time...

I'm about to give up, and try another field...
