Like my wife always says, "Everything happens for a reason." Sometimes days feel like years waiting to see the good to come from the bad. But for those who don't forget to look for the reason, it always comes. That is how we build character and have somethinig to truly be proud to pass on to our children.

Good luck and keep your eye out for the good things.

Sorry to hear about your father, Mine died a little over 6 years ago, he was one of the two friends I had. He had 2 strokes in June, and recovered quite well, and 2 more bad ones in March, and an aneurism in Sept. Luckily i was able to bring him home from the nursing home, where he was because my mother was in the hospital, she had just gotten out and over the labor day weekend he wanted to come home for the weekend. We did many things together, and I gave up things just to do stuff he enjoyed, and i wouldn't have traded that time for anything. Everything from having to fish my expensive (at the time) fish rod out of the stream, to locking him in a porta-john at a small fair and just standing back and watching the people walk by as he is inside trying to get out.

I hope you had a great relationship with your father and that you have many memories to remember him by and share with family and friends.

A little over 2 years ago my mother lost a leg due to her many health problems, many of which I seem to have inherited, she has spent more time in a hospital or nursing home than she has at home in the last 3 1/2 years.

A fair job will come along when you least expect it, just don't give up the search. I have had many that have ended in 3 years or less, and I have been at my current one for 11 1/2 years now. Not a great paying job but one i usually enjoy, my customers make my day most of the time, from the ones that call and ask for me because they want something no one can find for them to the ones that when i answer the phone say "hey you C*** S***** what are you up to".

I write this as many others have, to relate that most all of us have seen bad times, and we seem to have found better times. You will too.

Hopefully you have friends that are near to you that will help you to get through the rough ***** and share in the good times when they return for you. Heck if they are really good friends thay will take you out to the nudey bar.

Keep your head up and remember you can always post some sort of question here that will get you ridiculed in a good way.

By the way maybe now would be a good time to fess up and tell us what you wanted to pull with the mountaineer. I am still curious.

Good luck.

The object he wanted to pull was the giant boulder in his front yard. You know, the one too big to move with a Bobcat skid steer.

I must have missed this, I haven't followed this man's saga for long.

I kinda float in and out.

Dude if this is true, why pull it when you could drill and shoot, then shovel it up.

Hate to hear all that Triton. Remember, "This too, shall pass". I know it sound tacky, but it's true. Better days are ahead. You have to believe.

Glad you are unhurt and I hope the guy in the other car is going to be OK. Winter driving accidents are a given. Knock wood, I've been lucky thus far but in reality, it's only a matter of time. It's not so much my driving that has me concerned but all the idiots out there who forget from one season to another how to react to icy roads

Hey Neighbor!!
Sorry to hear about everything. Hope things get better soon.
Where did this fender bender happen? On route 83 it sounds like. I definately had to use four wheel drive yesterday and of course I felt like I could go through anything. Wrong. Took a corner too fast and slammed into the concrete curb. Then that made me mad so I stepped on the gas and around and around I went, oops. But that part was kinda fun though, cept for the people behind me and the Taurus coming in the other direction that I scared and they pulled over.

Well, Volvo is listed on Fords website, www.ford.com

JTDEERE-- Yes, that happend on route 83 and detroit. You didn't brake anything buy hitting that curb, then getting mad and spinning in circles did u?? lol That was funny to read since I know how bad it was yesterday with the ice.

Again, thanks everyone for the comfort. I did hear back from the guy I hit in the Maxda 3 last night. Thank god, the only thing he has is a small bump on his head and an ice pack from the hospital. That was a sign of relief as I was worried most of the day yesterday if he did suffer any serious head injury due to his age at 83 years old. So at least thats some good news that he is okay.

Forever Ford

:santa: Well thank the one above that your accident did not turn out to be more serious. Thoughts are with you from Canada. have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now and seen some heart felt messages being passed on. Seems like a great forum.

Nothing like a crazy canuck driving a 2001 scab 4x4 to liven things up eh? EH? lol
