just a comment...

I decided I'm selling/tradding off my RC 04 F-150. I have had some minor issues, but over all, the 04 has come a hell of a long way from the 97 to 03, but that short distance my truck falls short on, is proving painful.

Lack of leg room..( previuos owner of a 97 and 02 leg room was great, ).so I pay a vist to my ford dealer to check out stepping up to F-250 6.0 reg cab or extended cab 8 ft box xlt...

I still owe a full chunk of change on the 04, I owe more than it's worth, I kinda expected this, with employie pricing, mark up on a 06 ect.

I looked at a RC 05 xl f-250, 8ft box 5.4 automatic plenty of room for me..20, as in twenty km..Transfer case was stuck some where in the ozone, great deal of effort and grinding was needed to shift into two hi automatic was in N. ...truck would not shift into drive before I checked the manual transfer case..Put truck in drive, released parking brake give it some gas, and truck rolls backwarks into a mark LT... Salesman was with me in the F-250...Truck is in drive, transfer case is in two high, D for dstruct not reverse, did not acclerate in reverse just rolled back wards into a mark LT...

bent up the chrome grill on the LT, had the truck took off in reverse, it would have a bad day for the dealer...

I'm not buying a ford truck after this...I'm taking a bath when I trade of my 04, got to pay it off before I trade to save my credit ratting....Salesman pushed hard to get me to lease again, I said no, he knew F-all abought the truck I was looking at upgrading to...

When you hear a loud yipping yay tay hey ringing in your ears, I will have a won a small victory..as I enter the world of no payments.........rust...oil leak's...no worry's abought scratchs...dirt cheap insurance....

So you let off the brake before you gave it enough gas to engage the torque converter, and that's the trucks fault how? Even if the transfer was stuck in neutral, and you did not know it. You should have waited til you felt it pulling before you let off the brake.

I'm starting to think Cyclone is Tritonxlt, and Mountaineer all 3 the one in the same person. Or is atleast a brother or something to Tritoneer.

I went from a '97 F250 LD Supercab to my '04 Supercab...I dunno where you get lack of legroom from. I'm 6'1" and I fit just fine in any F150. But to each their own I guess.

The thing I'll never understand is WHY anyone would buy a RC truck and then complain about lack of legroom. Did you not notice it was cramped or uncomfortable during the test drive or dives? I think allot of people look at a car or truck and decided that day with no other research done that this is the vehicle they want.....then to find out the next week or two that they do not like it anymore, then it turns out to be the Manufacture’s fault. Do some research first and then maybe you will buy a vehicle that you will still like when the first payment is due.

The only thing I could manage to understand from all that is you're unhappy with the legroom of your current truck, you still owe a lot of money on it...and yet something about entering the world of no payments......and you dinged up a truck on a test drive...What are you trying to say here? Are you trading it in? Are you keeping it? Are you buying a Dodge? You said a whole lot without really saying anything...even more

Interesting! I was thinking that about 80% of this forum's readership is of the one footed driving type when talking auto tranny. I use my right foot for both brake and gas, therefore making it unreasonable to release the brake pedal after the truck begins to pull. Maybe I'm old school coming from the days when most vehicles were standard transmission, and the left foot was reserved for the clutch. In this day and age of predominently automatics, maybe everyone drives using left foot brake, right foot gas.... Hmmmm?

You see them all day long...these two foot drivers are the one driving with their brakelights blaring while doing 55 down the highway. Same people are confused when they go through brakes at 11,000.

They're also the ones that can't modulate their brakes at stops. No smooth stopping for them.

1) Apply brake.
2) *** slides off of seat.
3) Foot applies pressure to keep *** in seat.
4) Foot is on brake pedal.
5) Vehicle stops short.

6) After turning over his load to keep from killing their ***, truck driver hits pig whistle and flips bird.

At least the two foot drivers won't roll back into me on a hill.

Personally, I've never had the luxury of riding in a radio controlled truck that I thought had adequate leg room.
