So much for the 2nd Amendment

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051109/...cisco_measures

If you live in San Fran., get ready to hand over that handgun. So basically, now only the police and criminals will have adequate protection. Screw you...you don't need it - or so the recently passed law would seem to say to me. The sad thing is the idiot voters themselves approved this measure. Make love, not war...sure, whatever.

They also passed something to ban recruiters from talking to people at high schools or colleges. If this weren't San Fran, I guess I'd be a little depressed. But this type of crap coming from them is nothing that should surprise anyone.

I don't understand how a city council has this power.
Wouldn't the states laws concerning firearms take precedence?

In Va the VCDL got legislation passed that basically nullified city ordinances prohibiting concealed carry for licensed individuals. I would think that other states have or are trying to pass similar legislation, but I don't think it would fly in Commiefornia.

It's a shame too, California is a beautiful state, but the population centers are overwhelmingly psychotic, far left leaning, and fear inanimate objects.

What's funny is, Texas usually follows suit to whatever California does...

This shoudl be interesting...

But, since It's San Fran, we won't see it spread here until all of California adopts it.

The gun ban prohibits the manufacture and sale of all firearms and ammunition in the city, and makes it illegal for residents to keep handguns in their homes or businesses.
Well golly guess only the criminals and cops will be armed now...much safer.

current handgun owners would have to surrender their firearms by April.
Bet me. When the come to get it..."uh sorry...I lost it...yea..that it...lost it." Thus the problem with licensing...it gives the gov't the ability to create a list of owners so when they come back later to take the guns they know where to go. Of course the criminals register too..

The worst part is
58 percent of voters backed the proposed gun ban
They voted away their protection and their rights.....IDIOTS

Here's all you need to know.

Doctors:

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.

(C) Accidental deaths per physicians 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.

Now think about this:

Guns:

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S.is 80,000,000.

(Yes, that's 80 million)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.

Statistics courtesy of FBI

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Technically they don't but much like the federal government's lack of authority to govern the production of whiskey, or the use of currently illicit drugs, that hasn't stopped them.

You could always turn them in bullets first. But one could take the route of the elderly gentleman in Canada who went to jail for posessing an unregistered firearm receiver. Once in jail (Hopefully let out after a while) one has been 'harmed' you could then take it to court on the grounds that you have been unfairly harmed by the legislation if you want to attack it from a legal perspective....which is recommended.

I assume you mean seperating the casing from the bullet for them in the process right?

Agh, caught before the edit. Yes I suggest separating the projectiles (bullets) from their casings first. How you do it is entirely up to you.

Edited for spelling...again.

This is exactly why CA is the ONLY PLACE I would rather live less than NJ...

When are dumb-***** liberals going to learn that gun laws have ZERO effect on reducing gun crime? This is something that has been proved probably a thousand times. You can make all the laws you want and the only people they affect are law abiding citizens trying to protect themselves.

How is it again that CA is such a great place to live??? Aren't I lucky??? The only two places with the KC-10 are the two worst places to live in the USA, lucky me...

KC-10 FE out...

Think man think, these are some of the very same people who think Communism hasn't worked only because it hasn't been tried here.

Some people (typically women, but not exclusively) let their emotions and feelings guide their decisions, others use a more rational and logical approach and emotions play far less of a role in their decision making process.

Given that women are more emotional than men and granted the place that passed this into law...
