question about hdtv wires

Is it possible to make your own wires for connecting the cable box to a HD tv? I ask because where I want to put my cable box, I would need 28 ft of wire. I have not seen lengths that long in any store so I was hoping I could make my own. Thanks in advance for any advice.

First off, what kind of connection are you going to do from cable box to TV. Component, HDMI, or DVI?

yes it is possible, that is the kind of work i do, all u need it some coax and they make little adaptors that go from a coax connection to rca connection they sell them at radio shack. i dont know how much we pay for them becuase we get them from the suplier, but what ever u get will be WAY cheaper than what they will try to sell u at best buy or where ever u go. and no matter what they say u will never be able to tell the difference in the picture

and no matter what they tell you there is no visual difference between Componets, DVI, or HDMI
