This is the weird thing! U-haul will NOT rent a trailer to the Explorer, but they WILL rent to a Mountaineer! (no lie) I know there the same thing, but I have already rented from u-haul a month back to help move a freind.

I wasn't even going to ask them why they won't rent trailers to Explorers, as I was happy they said everythign was okay to rent to Mountaineers. If you don't believe me, even go to there website and type in Explorer which you will get denied, then type in Mountaineer and u have permision to rent!

You are not planning to steal ATM's by pulling them out of the wall.

They'll rent them to someone with an Aviator, despite it being the same chassis.

I avoid U-Haul like the plague if I can.

Ok what is the aproximate dimensions and and weight of this object?
What are the ground condiotions around this object? IE dirt, mud, pavement, grass, etc?

Come on guys, lets tell him like it is.

Get a 3/8 or larger chain about 35 to 40 foot long, hook it to the object, if you need more than 5 feet to hook it around the object, add 10 - 15 feet to the above length. Securly attach the other end to the Mountaineer. If the object to be moved is at least 50 to 60% the weight of the Mountaineer, back up to the object until the bumper touches, then a little power brake action and let'er rip, be sure to do these last two items.

First off, wear your seatbelt, Safety first as you know.

And this is the most important one, Be certain to have one or more people their with camcorders to get the task on film, prefferably from several different angles.

Then be sure to post the footage here so we can all help out should something go wrong.

Does it really matter what he's trying to pull?

He'll do it regardless of what he's told, and he'll come back with some crazy *** story about how his brakes failed and he hit a boulder in the middle of the road, flinging the body off the frame of his Mountaineer and sending it 20 miles down the road doing like 100 mph with the local police chasing him, remembering when they gave him a ticket in his F150, before sliding into his driveway and hitting his garage just as the mosquitos catch up to him and brood a billion more in his backseat, leaving more black stains on his dash.
