HELP..I need a photo editing program
I have never done it but I know my budy at the church that I use to attend until a year ago, he often built PP slide shows, burn them to DVD then play them on the DVD player at his church. I think he used a ripper to convert the presentation to Mpeg-2. I'll call him tomarrow and double check that, but Iwont be on to post till tomarrow afternon.
Also, I have done this, if it's less than 700 mb "which would be about 1 hour long +/-" then burn it to CD as an SVCD. Which will play in modern DVD players exactly as you built it with sounds and all. My Nero Burning Rom that I use to burn audio and data cd's automtically converts it to SCVD format for me. Just select SCVD, drag the file over to Nero, and click burn CD.
That being said, if you are set on getting something, I pretty much have every full version of every program Adobe has ever put out. 10 years and I've never had a problem with any of them. Curently I have Adobe Illustrator 6.0, Adobe Premier 6.5, Adobe PageMaker 7.0, Adobe Photo Shop 7.0, and Adobe Image Ready 7.0. Adobe Acrobat 5.0, Adobe Acrobat Distiller 5.0. All except Premier I have for both Mac and PC.
If I was going to buy anything, then it would most defiantly be Adobe. Then if you decide to buy a different editing program of some kind later, get Adobe again. Dont have to worry about compatability or anything like that. All of Adobe products are by far the most user friendly in each of thier classes. Make sure that you can burn straight to DVD or save progect as Mpeg-2 for DVD compatability before you buy. I dont know exactly how much they have taken out for Elements. Use to be over 3/4th of the program was missing compared to the full version.
