Cherokee?

I know this is out of place but I'm really curious and I'm sure some of you can answer this question....

What happened to the Jeep Cherokee? Not the Grand Cherokee, I mean the plain ol' box Cherokee. Was it replaced by the Liberty?

And raise your hand if you think Jeep should bring back the Comanche truck and make it full size and fancy? Huh? Anybody? I know I'd want one.

It was replaced by the Commander. Jeep.com dude. Everything is there.

Never liked Jeep trucks. They should stick with tiny 4x4 off roaders..

Liberty replaced Cherokee in 2002. 2006 Commander (which looks like Cherokee) is new, but you can think of it replacing the Grand Wagoneer of 80's vintage.

Yep, dropped for the Liberty. I had a 2000 Cherokee Sport that I got new in "99, it was very reliable and all but once I got a closeup look at the new style F-150 I was hooked and traded it for my current rig in May '04 and I'm glad I did.

Not a jeep guy myself, but we did buy a Liberty a few months back (for the wife). It's actually a nice little unit with surprising acceleration. The first dodge product I have ever owned.
I don't drive it though unless I have to, too many guys drive by and try to check me out. Its definitely a chick mobile. I'll stick to my F150 or the mustang.
