Roll cages being used for air tanks

when i got my mag this month (i think its peterson 4wheel, i get like 4 a month) they have a little book with it and there is a little section with roll cages and they say you can use it as an air tank. obviosly you have to put fittings and seal it... it sound like a good idea but has anyone ever seen this??

I've seen many welding rigs have rear 6" pipe bumpers used for an air tank. The roll cage would be a good idea. But, a good roll cage should not have holes to allow for air passage like that. People usually use a pipe saw and cut all the crossmembers to be welded to a one piece bent main tube. It could work I guess though.

I've seen nitrous oxide stored in a frame before.

Buell stores oil inside of the rear swingarm on their bikes.

Why not!
