I've got a few webcams, havent used any of them in several years. I also have a 21" monitor but not sure I could see 1000 faces all at once and make out who is who. Have you ever been in those chat rooms that have a few hundred people on it at one time? I can speed read fairly fast but I can't always keep up on who is talking to who and which conversation is going on. Especially when you get more than 6 different conversational topics going on at one time.

P.S. Matt . . .

I made a post just for you to your attention today. I publicly admit I was wrong . . . just in case you haven't seen it yet.

Your DV camera should work fine...mine does right through the firewire port...most expensive "web cam" I have.

Oh, I've had Firefox ever since it came out for OS X. I'm not sure which version I have . . . let me check . . . . (I'm in Safari now ) OK, the version of Firefox is 1.0 My guess is that it's been updated, but I don't know.

I got it when Safari was in the early 1's because there some things that Safari could not open and Firefox could.

These days Safari pretty muchs works with every (but there is an occassional thing it doesn't) That's about the only time I use Firefox.

It was Opera that I tested (I think it was D who hyped it up) Used that for a day and then deleted it.

One occassionally comes across something that Safari can't deal with, but I find that if that's the case then Firefox for OS X can't deal with it either. At those times only Internet Exploder will open it. I never use IE so it's pretty much come down to if Safari can't open it, I don't vist page.
