Has anyone just had a "bad luck" truck?

Yeah, Raoul, you are one of the oldtimers here along with me. I used to call myself "Captain Chairless" I hated that 60/40 seat in the 99, but that 99 was probably the best F-150 I have ever owned, never had an incident with it.
you probably still have the same 99 Lariat Reg. Cab or "normal" cab as you called it.
there was a day when I was younger that I wouldn't have tolerated this crap for a minute and just gotten rid of the KR, but since I have posted this thread, I haven't had many more situations. I have driven it to Texas and back, my radio crapped out halfway across Texas but it started working again and my vibrations are worse than ever. I just do my best to laugh about it, the dealer can't fix it, they are worthless, so until the day comes that the truck leaves me stranded, I'll deal with it.
I have to admit, when I bought this truck I was concerned.
This is my first Ford. besides my 1969 F100 I bought in 90-91'ish and drove for 2 years.
Dad was a chevy man and he said the reason we got my F100 as my first vehicle was becasue he said that everyone should experince the headache atleast once.
Decade and a half later I never would have thought I'd see myslef in a Ford.
But on a total whim, I unexpectedly bought myself this one. I was going to change to a different maker, but I had been shopping for a Dodge for 2 months. The dealer I found this one at was 50 miles away. On the way driving it home I remember thinking to myself. "Dude, you just bought a Ford! What are you thinking?"
Decided well it runs like a bat out of hell, thats why I bought it.
Pulled onto my gravel road and parked it in my drive. Next day we went to go somewhere and when I got back on the highway, it shook so bad I was scared to have my kids in it. Took the family back home and started investigating, busted belt in the tire. They were brand new still had the nipples on them. I thought to myself, "oh god, and now it starts!"
Since then ABS has went out, had intermittin odometer display problems, leaky doors that I still need to check out, and that's it!
