SRT??? Not much difference in styling from the standard charger from the looks of it.
So what kind of times do they say it'll put out??
From what I remember...
6.1 Hemi
425hp/420tq
0-60 around 5
top speed 165
What kind of 1/4 mile times do you think it would net?
Low 13's I'm guessing..
Congrats on the new machine

I've never been a dodge fan, but I have a hard time hating that car.
I don't have a hard time hating the crosshairs in the grill, however.
That would be the first thing I would resolve if I were to consider purchasing.
All in all, it's sharp... great color choice.

Krix,
First off, let me say that the Murano was/is a great SUV. We had zero problems (alternator recall only) mechanically with it. We had put 26,500 miles on it in 2.5 years. My usual to-work commute is ~ 10 miles round trip. With all in city driving, MPG was around 17'ish. Highway was 22. Quite honestly, the Murano was bought by the wife, for the wife. However, I ended up with it in the long run. Honestly, the SUV thing just isn't my style. I am a truck or car guy. So I was searching for something unique and different, I like the retro look to a point, but also like the modern look.
So, with that being said, we initially had thought the CTS-V was the answer to my search. However, I just didn't feel like spending that much. This week took us to the 300C, which were very nice, and drove very nice, however, the dealers around here are standing still at 2,000 above sticker. Brian does not pay above sticker for anything.....
So, right across from the Chrysler dealer lies the Dodge dealer. We decided to stop in and check out the Chargers and we made our decision.
The Hemi Charger has some good power. Its smooth and comfortable with a little less bling than the 300C (If you call chrome plastic wrapped wheels bling...I call it cheap and cheesy. Another reason we didn't pursue the 300C) but plenty of room for 4 adults. I like the retro/modern look it combines. Am I a dodge boy? No. But I think its a good blend of modern muscle. Not to mention Dodge offered 500$ incentive, and a good 1,000+ off sticker.
The Road & Track model gives you an extra 10 HP (350), blacked out wheels, better tires, better seats, better suspension and auto-leveling ride height in the rear. Also, that gray is only avail on the Road & Track model, Silver Steel Metallic.
I've had it for 2 days and its been a blast! Avg MPH is 16, however, its mainly light, low-speed driving that I have been doing. The little bit of highway I did got me 19MPG on the trip computer. I suspect it will get a bit better as it breaks in. I would strongly consider the Charger as an alternative to the Murano.
Thanks for the link to the Charger Forums, I will check it out.
War6, I am thinking black the grill out.
Rob, see you in October!
