I hate people!
I hate people!
So I was feeling pretty calm and mellow tonight. Started getting hungry but didn't want to spend a lot so I drove up to the Publix to grab some fried chicken from the deli, and pick up a couple other items. I was minding my own business and enjoying my solitary thoughts when some shaggy looking woman walks up holding a couple pill bottles and starts prattling on about how she's having an asthma attack and only has $15 and she needs a couple more dollars to get her medicine. I typically despise beggars and panhandlers but it never occurred to me that she was anything but truthful. I only had $18 on me so I handed her $5 and put the package of sliced roast beef back in the display cooler. As I turned and headed toward the register I saw her running out the door, bypassing the registers and no pill bottles in her hand.
Jeez I hate dishonest people. I hope she chokes on the flucking $5 worth of crack that she buys.

Two years ago I quit shopping at the Winn Dixie near my house because of all the lowlifes. I drive 2.5 miles up the road to the Publix because it is a super nice store and I have never met a scumbag in there in the last two years. I go there because I can be comfortable and not have to deal with scumbags. Looks like I will have to keep my guard up a little higher, they have invaded the nice neighborhoods.
Must be florida
I was driving down Colonial drive in Orlando one time and seen this "blind" guy on the side of the road with his dark glasses on and a walking stick, holding out a cup so people can put money in it. We stopped at the light and he was holding it out, the guy in front of me threw some money in the cup. All the while, im watching this all happen. The "blind" guy turns toward me, pulls his glasses down and winks at me, like haha, I got that guy. I was so pissed I felt like running that bastard over. Thats why I NEVER give anything to beggers on the streets.

Yep they all seem tp have a con line.
Several weeks ago i was fueling up the truck. Some guy aproaches me wanting money for gass, just a couple of bucks to get home in the burbs. He stated that he had forgotten his wallet. I have a gas can in the back and offered him some gass. His reply was that what he really wanted was money.
That was the end of the beg. Lying bastard.

Sorry you got ripped off Rocky.
A lot of "homeless, will work for food" folks that stand on the street corners for change and handouts are actually very lucrative businesspeople. They panhandle for a living and some of them make quite a living at it. They drive their car to the best corner, change into ratty clothes, beg the day away and then drive to their very real house and live the rest of their day like any normal person. I don't give to any of them, when I help the homeless and/or less fortunate I give to a recognized charity. If a person is truly in need they will know where to go to find the local soup kitchen.

You're giving for the wrong reasons.
It should not matter to you what the person does with the money.
That's not the point.
You give money to those that ask because it's the Christian thing to do.
The fact that you give freely is what is important, not what is done with the money afterwards.
Ask your Preacher.

In 1982 I was running A large construction company. Intrest rates were verry high and verry little work to be had.
I had some big jobs going on and needed some short term labor, so I drove my pickup down to the employment office just before they opned, and told A large group of people "I have fourty bucks cash, under the table, all you can eat lunch, and all the beer you can drink after work for A days work. If your interested get in." People were fighting to get in, the cab and the bed were full. I drove to the job sight and opened A semi trailer full of carpet and said "we need to unload these rolls and cut them into room size pieces and haul them into the rooms."
One fellow said "I'm going to get my gloves." another said "I'm going to help him find them." by 9:00 AM I had four workers left out of more than A dozen. We were done in less than six hours and I hired all four full time.
I learned most unemployed people don't want A job!
