Chris Rock trying to be funny

Anyone watching the concert on all the networks and see Chris Rock just imitate Kanye West and say "George Bush hates midgets"?

What do you think about that?

I think he is stupid for trying to be funny. K. West was way off base by saying anything like that on national TV, and now Chris is bringing more attention to it.

Celebrities...........

K West is a racist, not only that his music SUCKS! The reason that I say he's racist is that it was very irresponsible to go on a live broadcast and blurt out what he did without knowing all of the facts. He may have been speaking his mind but how did his statements HELP any of the victims. He is like so many of "them" they just want to get noticed. BLING BLING.

Chris Rock is ok imo. I saw footage of him handing out meals to people. I think he gets disgusted at some of the showboaters in his own race, if I were black I would too.

I don't think Rock was imitating him as much as making fun of him.

Exactly. And what a target Kanye makes, too. Kanye isn't the only one out there though. I've been watching a little TV lately, and have noticed a lot of young beautiful people who are espousing the same garbage. I even saw someone making fun of Michael Meyers for not backing Kanye up.

I would like to say that I'm surprised that there is so much hateful politics going on involving Katrina's aftermath; but, I'm not. The last four hurricanes that hit FL have cost FEMA 16 billion dollars. They've spent over $60 billion so far on Katrina relief; and, it's just getting started. The racist crap is just that. Crap! There's still a lot that's happened, and is still happening, in Orleans Parrish, that we aren't privy to. When this is finally over, there are going to be some terrible stories told.

It's getting harder for me to tolerate the 'I hate Bush croud' every day. There's plenty of blame to go around on this one. As far as I'm concerned, Katrina is the only one that had a vote in this disaster. She voiced her intentions plainly, and many people couldn't hear what she was saying. Maybe winds of 170 mph+ a day before landfall isn't loud enough to get some people's attention.

Chris Rock quote #2

"We've all heard the question," Rock said. "Why didn't these people just leave when they had the chance? But now we realize that not everybody can just jump into their SUVs and drive to a nice hotel. These people depend on public transportation and these people can't afford a nice hotel, because some of them work there. Now it's your chance to help them."

I think Chris has his thumb perfectly placed on this one. It's a shame that the lowest common denominator of the NO community is represented so strongly in news coverage.

I loved the look on Meyer's face when Kanye said his last comment! I was waiting for him to put his pinky to his mouth and say "Riiiiggghhht".

IMO that doesn't make him a racist.

Sure his comments were stupid and ignorant to any knowledge of what happened, but how does that make him any different from so many other Hollywood personalities? I'm sure Sean Penn gave Kanye an applause for that. Many who are not racist share his views. He was just stupid and tastless enough to share his at a benefit concert.

And IMO whether he praised or bashed Bush, a benefit concert is not the place to voice your political views.

Well I have to respectfully disagree…

He stated that Bush hates all black people, or Bush hates black people. I don’t recall the exact quote.

Anyway, in my book, that is a racist comment. Had he just stated that Bush hates all the people in NO then maybe that wouldn’t be considered a racist comment since it would have left out “race” (black people).

If President Bush was to get on TV tonight and state “I hate all black people” would most people not consider that a racist comment? I would believe they would, especially the left wing media that loves to continue to put walls and boundaries between the races (CNN comes to mind).

The fact of the matter is there is racism in America, but the other fact is there will always be some form of racism in the world. It will never come to an end. However there is a big difference between the mentally challenged racist not understanding why they really feel the way they do, and those in the spotlight and leadership roles that continue to grow racist in this country.

Jesse Jackson is a prime example of someone that’s sole purpose in life is to GROW and nourish racist in America. Jackson has no intentions whatsoever of trying to end racism in American or even trying to build bridges between the races. For Jackson if that bridge ever got built he would be out of a job.

Jesse builds two types of racist, one is uneducated blacks hating whites and believing whites owe them something for nothing, and he also builds uneducated whites into hating blacks because of the crap he spews. I could see not being to hard to get some uneducated whites into hating blacks because since they lack any logical thinking, as all racist do including K. West, they believe Jesse speaks for the vast majority of blacks when in truth Jesse speaks for a very, very small minority of blacks.

Howard Dean is another example of a racist builder. Neither he nor Jackson have any intentions of every bringing all people together. Those too, and many others like them, would never survive without having many types of people, income levels, skin color, religion beliefs etc. nicely separated and pitted against one another.

It goes right back to the liberal core values of a bad day for America is a great day for the liberal agenda and movement. Harmony is NOT in any core values of liberals, never has been and never will be.

Therefore, this K. West moron is a dictionary definition of a racist in America…

No . . . of course he's not racist.

Actually I hear he's a member of the Gay Black Jewish Klansmen for Tolerance and Understanding.

Don't know if what Kayne said makes him a racist though it probably does but it sure made him look stupid and ignorant. Chris Rock was making fun of him and was right to do so. That's settled.
