gas

Well, here in Columbus, gas has finally hit $3.00 or more per gallon. Besides the high price that sucks, is when you use your card at the pump, it only gets a pre-authorization for $75.00 so I can't even fill up the truck without having to start over again. At least not at the Exxon by my office.

I heard a few of the stations here are limiting the purchase to 20.00 per customer.

gas up here is going over $3 a gallon (some stations still at $2.79), but prices have been changing during the day. Debit cards are authorized to fill up only to $50. Station owners decide how much a credit card can use (this is at quick charge). If you go inside, they will let you pump however much you want. Either way, 3 bucks a gallon times 30 gallon tanks=90 bucks to fill. Aint looking good for 14 mpg max in the city. Good thing I traded in my excursion (6 mpg city 12 mpg hwy) for the f150.

So, here's the question. If gas does stay up past $3.00 long term, how many of us new F-150 owners are trading up? I think we can welcome $4 here pretty quick. To be honest, I'm gonna wait the winter, see what happens. Had to peek at the '06 Fusion. And that XCal2 is on hold for the short term. With the performance you guys said that brings, that'll drain my tank real quick!!

One good thing, the government has told the oil companies to not go over to the winter blend fuels, so they don't have to switch over and slow down the fuel flow.

Yeah...it's insane. 2.79 here in Tulsa now. It goes up 2-3 times per week it seems. What happens to the guys who have to drive their trucks for work every day. I wouldn't be able to do my job without a truck. I wish the price would bounce back down under $2.00 again. I might have to buy one of those scooters that gets 80 miles to the gallon to drive on the weekends.

Im glad my parents have a Mini Cooper!

My school is actually calling a EMERGENCY MEETING to discuss if these gas prices keep going up and if we can't get any, they might cancel school until it gets back to normal?

That's awesome I hope they do that here!

My dad looked at a prius but the new ones are sold before they are even made and used ones are like 50,000 dollars!
