Looters
Looters
America at her best...I mean, worst. Check out this gallery and look at the WalMart being raided along with other places. Stories of drug stores being cleaned out, etc. Lots of free drugs on the street now I guess.
I can understand taking food if you absolutely need it, but drugs you don't usually take, shoes, electronics???

I think you need to remove the 'frame' before you can see the slideshow. Interesting stuff starting on slide 13.

They are shameless. You see the best and worst of people during times of crisis. People never fail to impress me from both extremes....
They should just be taking all these photos and then show up after this is over with a warrant for their arrest.
If only relief could be directed to those most deserving.

I doubt they'll get busted. Imagine the chaos and devastation there. They've got more important things to worry about I'm sure...but it's still stupid and shameful. Problem with many Americans these days...we have no shame and therefore can no longer be shamed into doing the right thing.
They should allow business owners to Slaughter anyone thats walks into a closed store. No questions asked. If this occured a few times, the number of looters on the street would be greatly droped... and rid the earth from pure scum.
I can see a grocery store, or wall mart giving away the food and nessessary items, but not looting.

Saw some video from New Orleans. 2 female plice officers going around the store with their shopping cart. Caught on film, and they were laughing about it. Wonder how long they will be police officers.

That police thing was on the NBC video too. Or it may have been this:

Or this one:

At the Lower Garden District Wal-Mart, among the items seen being loaded into police cars were dozens of T-shirts, DVDs and dog food.
But when law-enforcement officials went to get their goods, others followed.
"They just came and no one could stop them," said David Brown, 38, a Port of New Orleans employee.
Brown and a co-worker were filling their vehicle with dozens and dozens of canned goods - stews and chilis and Spaghetti-O's. Brown said the food would be used to feed the port's police and its employees, many of whom, like him, had worked nonstop since Saturday.
They were only taking essentials, he said, although a copy of Queen Latifah's "Beauty Shop" movie apparently had made that list.
Suffice it to say, everyone is helping themselves...not to just the things they need to survive.

Pathetic, really, absolutely appauling, but those people don't look like they have any type of morals anyway. On the radio yesterday the news announced that Walmart was donating millions to the disaster relief fund for New-orleans. What a way to thank them, by looting the store and stealing everything.... what a joke these people are. I agree, kill them all. If they have nothing to contirbute then they are only a burden to those who are actually attempting to help the situation.
Insurance is going to pay for all that stuff looted.. meaning you and me in higher premiums. Let em take the food they need it, we would do the same if we had families that were going hungry. The other things in the Wal mart would have been written off as water damaged anyway, and Wal marts insurance pays them for everything. Then the insurance company sells the crap to some wholesale dude who resells it again. But what really gets me are the ones looting private residences, that's the lowest of the low.

Death for theft, is not the answer. No matter the situation you cannot shoot someone dead for robbing a store, unless the thief is armed and draws/fires first. Emotions are high around the country, but think about it before spouting off something that sounds ignorant.
Robbing a residence is another thing entirely in my opinion. Especially if the residence is occupied.
I left New Orleans on Friday afternoon and I am feeling really lucky, as many times as I have been there those levees have always been in the back of my mind. You have to walk up several steps to look at the Mississippi. It really puts it into perspective.,,,,98
Oh and thanks for turning it racial, lol. This thread will die soon now
