Frankly, I wouldnt have too much of a problem with them taking the stuff if they were taking food and other nessacities for their family and maybe even dry clothing if they were wearing rags, but the people stealing the TVs, microwaves and such need to be shot on sight.
Screamer- In Lousiana and Texas, you can shoot someone if they are on your property and are a theat to you OR your property. Frankly, I dont see a jury convicting someone for shooting a looter in their store. Also, I don't think Flareside meant anything racial by it, just made an observation. Not everything that involves race is racist.

Robbing a residence is another thing entirely in my opinion. Especially if the residence is occupied.
I left New Orleans on Friday afternoon and I am feeling really lucky, as many times as I have been there those levees have always been in the back of my mind. You have to walk up several steps to look at the Mississippi. It really puts it into perspective.,,,,98

Calm down folks...lol I don't think killing is necessary for minor theft...but if it were your own personal property you were defending (house, etc), then I say go for it if that's what it takes to keep YOUR stuff. This is not a race issue. It's a problem with ethics and morality in general.
On a somewhat related note...maybe. If I hear one more person on TV bitching about how they need water, this that and the other, I'm going to scream. It's as if (from listening to their tone of voice) we don't care and the whole country is just sitting around on it's *** doing nothing to help them. That's bull and they should be smart enough to know it. Millions have already been donated to the Red Cross by individuals...more by the evil corporations. Some people just have no gratitude at all. I'd be happy to be alive first of all. Then I'd be happy if someone would just get me the hell out of there.

Theyre starting to move people into the astrodome and most of the hotels in this part of TX are all full. I just hope the looters dont make their way over here and think they can keep up with that crap here.
