Gas Went Up!!! Holy Sh@%!!!!!
I hate gas stations. Jonesboro gas is $2.69. Harrisburg (small town 15 miles away) is $2.88. Cherry Valley (12 more miles) is $2.69.
Somebody's doing some gouging in Harrisburg. Damn crooks.

Oil has been bouncing around from $68 - $70 per barrel. Of course the cost of a barrel is not the only thing that reflects the price at the pump but it is another indicator.
Just to make my point most the gas stations, well all but one, are charging around $2.55 - $2.60 per gallon (87) they went up about 0.03 cents.
The one nearest my home went up Monday from $2.54 to $2.65 and today it went up to $2.81 (87) no one else has raised their prices more then a few cents. This tells me the owner of this station is a real jackass who is taking advantage of his “former” customers.
Personally I will never buy fuel there again and I didn’t see any vehicles there filling up this afternoon but rather at the station down the road that is still currently charging $2.58 (87).
So I don’t for a minute buy gasoline raising 0.80 cents overnight not unless it is a crook that is looking to screw over people on purpose…

Crude Oil was down 7 cents today. At one time it was down like $2.00/barrell. This is a crock of Shizzle, Dizzles. Every M'fer from the Oil Field workers down to the gas station attendants ort to be hung up by their damned toes. I don't care if they are responsible for it or not.
I don't know if it is panic caused by the hurricane or the sudden abrupt changes (it was 2.79 this morning but reported to be above 3.00 now) in the prices but here in Columbus, Ga, there are rumors (maybe true, I don't know) that we are almost out of Gas.
People are leaving work early to go and get gas while they can.
My wife just called and said they may let her out of school early due to the rumors.
My brother called also. He said it took him half an hour to get to my mother's from just in front of the closest gas station and he wasn't even trying to get gas. Did I mention the gas station is less than 1/2 mile from the house?
The latest I heard, not five minutes ago is that many of the stations will be out of gas by 4:30 and will close down.
I just hope whatever the situation is, it is resolved by Friday / Saturday. I've got to go to see the Dawgs play Boise State on Saturday! I may be hitching a ride!
GO Dawgs!

I think it would be wise of you to think about what you go ranting off about before you open your mouth/type. Do you honestly think that an oil field worker really has a single thing to do with the price of crude? I've read your posts, and that's like saying you, by yourself, set the price for rice or wheat or corn, and the farmer should be outraged with you because you won't pay him $9 for his wheat. The oil field worker has to drive to the gas station and fill his truck up for $3.xx just like you and I and it hurts him just as much. I know several people who work the oil field industry and this not something they want either. Many of them are very very hard-working, honest, and trustworthy guys like a lot of us, you excluded of course.
Just a thought........

The point I was trying to make, and should have expounded on some more, is that there is no single person to hold responsible. We are all responsible for creating panic and buying up more gas than they can haul from the refineries. It's just like Sept 11, there were no gas shortages. On Sept 11 people lined up at the gas stations thinking there was going to be, and they got gouged for it. People need to just calm down, it will be okay.

Russell, i live here in savannah and got the same message. I went to fill up and the pumps were filled up 15 cars deep. Unreal. Where you live at in Columbus. I lived there for 2 years. Off exit 4, 5, or 6 cant remember. Off westminster street. I loved Columbus. Hope these prices get better. But it will definitely get worse before it gets better. IM GETTIN A HONDA!

I dont know why everyone is b_tching about the gas prices..you should be thankfull that your truck/car isnt under 5 feet of water like the ppl in New Orleans...ya paying 3.00+ sucks but its nothing compared to loosing everything you owened...maybe you should donate some of that gas money to ppl who need food and water and a place to sleep
