I've got a friend that has a Beech 127, "I think".
It is so cool!

I wish I knew more about them and I'd get one too.
Couldn't afford to buy the fuel for it for any trips... but could go to the airport and start it up once in a while to hear it run I guess.

My brother is a helicopter mechaninc in the Marines right now. He should be out in four years. I told him when he gets out I want to buy an experimental helicopter kit and have him help me put it together! With experimental you dont have to have a pilots license. There are limitations in flight range, etc. will have to check into all of that, but it would be freaking fun if we get to do it!

I have a friend now that is ex military chopper mechanic and works as civilian mechanic at Ft. Lenoard Wood, he said he would help us too.

3 valve, im right there with you on the flying and cropdusting its a shame about the only way to get into dusting is to be born into it, just not much opportunity otherwise, keep us updated, those small zoomies are the best.

If you are going to fly ...fly often, other wise with low hours spread over a long duration you are the perpetual novice. As a novice your risk in higher.

just a friendly warning that was told to me, years ago, by one survivor of
two float plane pilots.

I took flying lessons back in "89, passed the physical, passed the course and the written exam, soloed twice, made it back on the runway with all parts attached, changed jobs and decided to hang it up due to the $$$. $75 hr for the plane and $15 hr for the instructor. I miss it tho

No I just can't bring myself to crop dust. I'm just excited about a cheap way to get the plane hours. Yeah silver...I know what you mean about being a novice. My bro will be flying often, but I don't know about myself.
