LED electrical question

If any of you are good with LED's I have a wiring question that is causing me some problems:
I have a led that reverses polarity depending on conditions… I have to light up another LED from that LED, but it is not a 2 way LED. I can ground the one side of the LED, but then on the power side, I need to give it the power from whichever of the 2 wires has power at that time. So I need to make an OR gate basically to provide power…what do I use? Is there a relay that does that and passes the power directly through?

Any help is appreciated.
