What do you think?

As of a lot of you know Im having a lot of problems with my F-150. I know there have been a lot of problems with the 04s and some of the 05s. Do you think I'll be able to get another F-150 05 or 06 without any problems? I could get another F-150 or either jump ship and get a Tundra or GMC 1500. What should I do?

I had the trottle body replaced right after I bought my truck, 1600 miles. i now have 10,400, no more problems. I love the truck and would buy another one. I had an 02 Silverado and would hate to go back to a Chevy although it was trouble free. Just not built as well, did not ride as good. just my thoughts, good luck.

If you had as many problems with your truck as mine you would be thinking the same thing, so have some compassion *******.

Simply by the looks of your truck (it's niiiiice)...I would say, keep it and work on getting it to 100%. GMC's (IMO) look like crap now. I'd love to have your truck.

Whoa now...no need for name calling. I was just trying to say that people have trouble with all brands of trucks. My Dad has driven a new GM truck every 2 years for at least 16 years. He has had some trucks that have never had one problem, and he had an '02 that he never got to drive cuz it was in the shop so much. He still drives GM trucks to this day. Stuff happens and as long as the dealer is taking care of you I wouldn't complain. If they aren't find a new dealer.

I understand that but I have 2 friends with 05 F-150s and one of them had to have theirs bought back and the other one is experiencing a lot of the same problems Im having, thats all.

I really don't think they're going to be able to get this truck to how it should be. The dealer came out and told me they had no idea how to get rid of the steering wheel nibble and the whole truck vibration.

Well that isn't right. Are they going to do something about this like give you a higher tradein value or anything, that is not your fault.

Way I figure it...no matter how perfect a new F150 will be you are going to be overly sensitive to issues and not give it a fair shot. I dont mean this to be attacking but you are conditioned to look for prolblems. You'll probably never be happy with this style F150.

Right now they don't even know what they're going to do. We told them that if they can't fix it, we want a new truck and the service manager said she understood and would do her best to help us get what we wanted.

I understand what your saying but if I can get a trouble-free F-150 thats what I really want. Do you really think every single new generation F-150 has problems?

I think you should make a decision and stick to it so we don't have to read about it every 2 weeks.

Thumper..I wouldnt give up on Ford just yet. Yes , your having some major issues, as I am. But I cant think of any other truck I would rather be in right now than an F150. If they cant fix mine (which I doubt they will) I am gonna try to get an 06. You can tell from this site that not everyone has the problems we have and those guys absolutely love there trucks. Give the dealer one more shot at fixing it and then file the paperwork. Im doing the same thing. Its in the shop now and by the beginning of next week, if I dont get any good news from the dealer, Im filing my paperwork and asking for a replacement. By then, the lots should be full of 06 models I can choose from. I looked at an all white one this weekend and man was it sweet. Im not a big fan of white trucks, but this one caught my eye enough to sit down and try to work out a deal. But the trade in value of my truck was crap, so im holding off and going the other route for now. I guess my point here is that even though your frustrated to no end, trust me , I know, I just cant see giving up on the F150. But its your decision.

Thumper you keep saying "she" when mentioning the service manager. Is she hot?? Maybe you should work that angle...make her happy and she'll make you happy?

Heck no, in fact I think it is pretty rare...but you mentioned 2 friends with similar problems. I know no one with the problems personally.
