What to do in Chicago? And Olando?
[QUOTE=RobNY]
As for Orlando you have to try Charleys steak house at least once in your lifetime. It is on S. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando ..

My personal opinion is the Charleys on 192 in Kisimmee (sp?) is better. It doesn't matter what kinda steak you get there it'll melt in your mouth. The Fillet is literally like butter when you cut it. Of coure you'll drop $50-100 a person for dinner there.
If you're looking for a special dinner it's hard to beat. It's located right off of I-4 on 192. It's to the east of the offramp of I-4. I've also heard the one on international drive is pretty good too, but most people say the 192 location tops it. BTW international drive is the ultimate tourist trap if you're into that sort of thing. Wall to wall resteraunts, shopping and entertainment for miles.
As far as theme parks Universal is the best. Now if you have small kids maybe you'll want to stick with Disney stuff. The stuff at Universal might scare the bejesus out of any kid under 5. Just ask my son about Twister
Kennedy Space Center is always a good call if you've got the time. It's about an hour or so from orlando.
If you're looking for natural type attractions let me know and I can throw some of that at ya.

"Waiter, do the sandwiches come with fries?"
"Why don't you read the f'n menu and find out."
That sort of thing. If no one has ever heard of them, they're intentionally rude to you. The place is intentionally built to look like a dump. It's really funny.

Yea we've got a place like that in Osage Beach too. The radio ads claim that they have the meanest waitresses in the Ozarks! I just dont understand it, if I wanted to get yelled at, called lazy, and forced to go get my own drinks... I can get that treatment at home for free!
Chicago - Disney Quest. Huge indoor arcade for all ages. Try to go to a Cubs game at Wrigley. Take mass transit anywhere you want to go.
Orlando - Kennedy Space Center (1 hour) though it might be tough on the little 'un. Universal's Islands of Adventure is the best of the 1 Day experiences (IMHO). Atlantic side beach is good (1 hour). Beware of the drivers, they don't have a clue. And its not just the tourists/immigrants/old folks. I lived there for a year, they all drive like they are the only person on the road!
