Take some time to look at a sunrise....Take some time to look at a sun set...
Take some time to hug your beer...Keep it cold, it's no good when it's hot...
Take some time to eat a good Chease Burger...take a little time to digest it...
Take some time to pray for those who lose thier way....
Take some time to keep your goals in check....
Take a minute to make this world and your life better...
Take some time to listen to Donnie Iris "Leah"......
Take some time to turn off the TV......
Take a some time to be a kid again.....
Take a moment to smile at a pretty Lady...
Take some time off work...
Take a moment to walk to the store instaed of driving....
Take a moment to spell check this..
Take a moment to get away, and don't be in hurry to get back...

Good point!

On the other hand we are debating what we are here for, not what we are actualy doing here.

Lest you forget what I mentioned about "by myself" sex? So it's not for a lack of wanting...

Gee Zap. Even if someone could give you an irrefutable answer, would it matter to you? I mean, if you ask a thousand people this question, you'll get at least a thousand different answers.

Is there an answer that you would accept?

I guess maybe you could be asking such a question from many differing perspectives.

A.) You are just busy trying to think up controversial questions for the entertainment factor.

B.) You're looking for lyric material in the answers given here for a song you're writing.

C.) You're having a mid-life, 12 pack of Bud, philosophically inspired re-evaluation of the time you've spent here on this rock.

D.) You really are searching for something.

E.) None of the above. You're just an inquisitive guy.

Regardless, there is an answer, and it's one that everyone has to contend with like it or not. Nobody here will escape death. Statistically, 100 out of 100 people die. Most everyone goes through their short time here ignoring it, or outwardly displaying a none-fear of death, but inwardly dreading the day that their heart stops beating. If I'm wrong about that, then drop your health insurance, and quit going to doctors.

Anyway, I'll leave it there. No sense getting this thread locked down.

Anyone for a quote from Poe circa 1842?

There are chords in the hearts of the most reckless which cannot be touched without emotion. Even with the utterly lost, to whom life and death are equally jests, there are matters of which no jest can be made.

Dude . . .

You don't really want me to answer this, do you?

(I assume if you had you would have posted it in my Ask Kobi™ thread.)

Regardless, I'll answer anyway.

Here's the Reader's Digest™ condensed version.

No reason. We are here for no reason whatsoever.

Rather than ponder why we are here (actually, a rather useless question), instead ask . . .

"Well, since I'm here, now what do I do?" Because, I mean, you're here . . . so do somehting with it . . . don't waste your time wondering why you're here or how you got here. Ultimately doesn't matter.

Some of us are here, and I'm not mentioning any names, simply to serve as a warning to others.
