lets think about this.... the USSR and china never shot a nuke at the USA because they know the USA would shoot back. so basically i punch you.... you punch me back. we both get damaged... what's the benefit to either side.

now think about the terroists. they do not all live in one country. they live all over the world (middle east, africa, north and south america, europe). so if the terrorists light off a nuke in NY city how does the USA retaliate? who do we punch back. in the terrorists mind, that's where they think they got us.

but... there is one place the USA can hit that would effect terrorsists no matter where they live. Mecca. i think that president bush told al-queda that is any USA cities get nuked you can kiss Mecca good-bye. i think this is why we will not be attacked using a nuclear weapon.

there will be other attacks on usa soil but i don't think they will be of a nuclear nature.

just my thoughts.

 

A Senator or someone here in Colorado got in big trouble for saying that a week ago. He didn't back down though and stuck up for what he said

On the surface, that may seem like a viable threat. In the long run, it would only do exactly what the terrorists want, turn every Muslim against us, not exactly what anyone outside of the KKK and a few militia groups wants.

 

I would worry more about a biological attack than a nuclear attack. The technology is easier to acquire and use, and the really scary part about a biological attack (as opposed to a nuke) is that it could be self perpetuating. If a nuke kills a lot of people in the blast radius, then it's done (the fallout effects might be nasty too, but they are finite), infect enough people and before they realize they are infected, they have infected a bunch more, and those people infect more people...

I agree with some here where I don’t believe a nuke attack would do “a lot” of damage nor cause “a lot” of panic “as compared” to some type of biological attack. I think it would be about like 911.

I look at a nuke attack like an earthquake. It will happen with no notice and be over quickly where I look at a biological attack like a hurricane. A hurricane can be some scary stuff because you really don’t know where it’s going to happen (land) or just how much damage will occur. People have days to scare the crap out of people about where it might hit and how much damage may occur and during those days leading up to it hitting land (somewhere) people go crazy buying up all the water, flashlights etc.

If I was President I would make it very clear to all leaders in the Middle East who support terrorist, which is most, and I would make it crystal clear that if a nuke went off in America that Iran, Syria, Mecca, parts of Africa and a few others would see a crap load of our nukes blowing the crap out of them…

I believe many of those backwards countries believe, like the terrorist do, in that no particular country will be held accountable and therefore they don’t worry about some terrorist setting off nukes. I would make it clear that if they are not currently hunting down and KILLING terrorist by the hundreds God help them if a nuke goes off in America…

Gas lines in every major us city, cut them off or blow them up....coke and ****...feed the adict's of the evil western world....Hijack a tracter trailer full off of office supply's and run car's off the road on I-40...walk into a hospital with a gun and shot away, ( happens in some us city's in less desirable urban areas, not by terrorist's )

I'm not preaching tactics here, it's the fear factor, the western world will never be nuked, the US. will blow the middle east stright to hell....The Bin Laddens of that cause would be quite happy to enjoy the perks of the western world, they don't want to blow it up, just get rid of every one so they can take over, they have small minds with LTD means...every plot and tactic is exacuted for the maxium effect, that is all they can muster....Thier nut's...so you crack them...HARD..

 

It takes a devious and diabolical mind to conceive a notion of destroying Mecca if the US is ever attacked....

That is one hell of a "payback" card... That is a good punch-back plan.

Nuclear weapons would indeed scare the BeJesus out of anyone they were used on- the good thing about a nuke is that it would kill you quickly if you were close enough, and slowly if you were close enough to be effected, but not close enough to be instantly vaporized....

Chemical weapons woudl kill you before you knew what was happening (If you were lucky). Slowly if you got a light dose...

But, biological weapons- the ones I fear teh most- they have a tendency to get out of control. Anthrax woudl cause limited damage- but something like small-pox, that is easily transmittable from person to person; and allows you to go for a time without symptoms, thus passing it on to others; and with domestic & international travel the way it is. One useage of such a weapon could reduce the worlds population to a fraction of itself within 3 weeks.

A big enough nuke could wipe out NYC, and if it's a surface blast, the radiation could kill millions over the following weeks from radiation poisoning. A bio weapon could kill billions- including the families of those that initiate the attack...

 

I say bring it on....I will personally sign up to go kill as many of those b@stards as I possibly can...it has been boring around here lately anyhow...
