I used to **** off our company Gunny all the time. He wanted (almost begged) me to re-enlist.

I would tell him, "Gunny, Once a Marine, always a Marine - why re-enlist?"

Yup, I'd push. But, I was in outstanding shape too.


Gawd, I miss those days.

Had I been thinking, I would have joined the Air Force (Branch Transfer) in 1996 when I left the Army; and went full time Air Force.

I'd be in my 19th year as of 24 August 2005.

I regret getting out sometimes....

My dad knew someone from Trinidad in the West Indies that went to the Navy and he didn't know how to swim. And the funny thing is that he lives on an island.
