Getting off track....@ work...

Ok...I start my day by making a list of things I need to get done during the day...and then end my day making a list for the next day (adding to it in the morning....

Unfortunately, I don't ever seem to get anything I want done...done... Throughout the day, I get started on MY tasks but then get handed new ones throughout the day that seem to be higher priorities (even though MY tasks are what I was originally hired to do)... It just amazes me how many "hats" I get to wear at my work (e.g. IT, Engineer, Graphic Artist, Marketing, Management, etc...)....

Do you guys/gals seem to get off task as much as me at your work? By no means is this a complaint...I would much rather have too much work than not enough...it just amazes me that I go through a 9+ hour day 5 days a week feeling busy as hell and get tons of things done...but at the end of the day, I still feel like nothing got done...

I hear ya. Im trying to get my customers boats repaired, then we sell some boats and they become top priority, then the guy who took his new boat last week has a problem, so now he's top priority, but the other guy who bought the bigger boat is more important and the guy who has his boat in my shop is more important than he is..ahhhhh does it ever stop?? But some how I work my magic and get it all done and everyone ends up happy..

Sure, I get way off track every day. But It's not that other people give me additional tasks to do first, I just slack of on here way too much. Sure I could check every hour and read the 10 post updates but it's much more fun to check every 5 minutes. I'd check back quicker but I have 4 other boards to read.
