Is this really a problem with these models.
I might be looking at the Sony Wega 50.
They are giving huge discounts ($2000-$3000) on these models at the moment here.
Going price for the Sony Wega 50 and 60:
Euro 1999,- (+-$2450) for the 50 Wega
Euro 2999,- (=-$3685) for the 60 Wega

I have searched and found that some people have had similar problems to mine. I did find out that Sony is doing and in-home replacement of my tv due to the noise problem. I am just waiting on them to tell me when they are going to be coming to my house.
