I bought my GT on November 24th of 04. I was one of the first GTs around here. I would come out to where I parked it and it had drawn a crowd while I was in a store or whatever. I have had people offer to buy it from me. The dealer I bought it from sends me letters trying to buy it back. I think the Windveil Blue is one of the more desirable colors. I still see white and yellow ones on dealer lots. Within 1/4 mile of my house is a few other GTs, one is a Roush, just sitting in garages, like mine does 90% of the time.

I think Ford way underestimated first year demand, but it will surely slow in a year or two. I also read that they are upping production in 2006 by 75000 units.

Its a shame that there is more demand then supply, but since I'm not in the market for one I kinda like the fact that the GTs are hard to find. Right now everywhere you look there are 04 and under Mustangs everywhere. I know Ford sales would be higher if they had more GTs to sell, but I like being suprised by seeing a GT, instead of saying 'Oh there goes another mustang'.

I don't think he was offering to sell, I think he was telling you his options with his and that it might give you a little insight on what you might want with yours.

Just a thought.

Well 6 years ago I was wanting to get into a F150 and get rid of my 96 Mustang GT because everyone seemed to be driving pickups or SUV's so I joined the truck crowd in November of 99 now I want to get back into a Mustang GT again with thesse high gas prices myself but I'll have to wait until i done with schol and get that higher paying job.

Ford field.....

was not built by Ford Motor Company. To associate that with the problems Ford Motor Co. is having is way off base. The Detroit Lions and Ford Field are owned by Mr. William Clay Ford Jr. and the Ford family. Also, don't blame Ford's problems on the UAW. Management and Engineering share a lot of the blame. Besides maybe the Mustang, is there another Ford "car" you would buy??? I read today that they are going to stop buildng the Freestyle as it is now in the next year or so. This vehicle just hit the dealers less than a year ago. They are not designing the cars that todays youthful buyers want. They don't have "bling". The union workers, myself included, have not had a pay raise in 2 years. This year we get a 2% raise and next a 3% raise. Hardly asking for a lot all things considered. A lot of people try to say health care for the union workers is killing Ford. If that was actually the case then why does Ford have such a problem with union workers in Canada where health care is not an issue?? Just a thought.

Screwbuilder...I guess Im wrong. I didnt know Ford motor company had nothing to do with Ford Field. Sorry my bad. Your right..theres not a Ford car out besides the Mustang that I personally would buy. We just got my Mom the new Five Hundred and althought, not something I would buy for myself, it's a very nice car. Ive been saying this all along, when is Ford gonna wake up and design a car that appeals to people of the younger generation? They need, as you say "some bling". Who knows, maybe there working on something and will surprise us all in the next few years. It just really suck that the Lightning went away (for now). Look at all the stuff Dodge is putting out. Some pretty cool cars with the whole BLING factor. Although most here dont like them, to the Dodge loyalist, they give them options of sport and luxury in most of their vehicles. As far as the union and you guys not getting a raise..that totally sux. All I can say ( and please dont take offense) is that you are lucky to have a job with a good company. If the money sux or your not happy, its time to move on.

I still dont understand why they cant keep up with the demand for the Mustang GT!!

Don't forget about the Ford GT. I know you would get it if the money was no object.
