Luckily, I have a lake fed by the Colorado River and a boat at my disposal!!! The summer is far from over here and temps are supposed to get hotter before the season is over.

PS- The hottest I've ever felt it here is 128 degrees...

Today's forecast:

Partly Cloudy
High 123°F
Precip 20%
Yep, no question, it gets damn hot in Havasu (which means "blue water" in some indian dialect). I was there over the 4th of July weekend and left a day early because of the heat. On the other hand you get about 8 months of pretty decent weather while much of the country is freezing.

It has been running about 100 degrees here every day which is abnormal for this 5300 foot elevation.

Just got back from Vegas. It was F'IN HOT. That's just crazy hot. Now these 90s at home with 90% humidity is a walk in the park. Dry heat my ****. 110-115 is HOT. I almost died on a walk down to MGM... hell, almost passed out walking across the street to Ceasers. It's just stupid hot. The pool scenery is hella-cool though. Pool water was around 75, very refreshing and make many a nips protrude for a minute or two. Ahhhh... vegas baby..

Yep - baked in Bakersfield. We were overdue for some summer heat after a very pleasant, mild spring.

This was the first month of June in 38 years where it never topped 100*, but we are making up for it now. But our 109* is not so bad compared to Iraq, Havasu or Vegas.
