Okay, here's your answer from hubby:
I love it. It is a smooth ride and seems to have great power. All of the buttons are easy to use and it is comfortable to sit in. although with 8 miles on it, it is hard to say. The outside temp seems to always read 84 degrees. Also the ac does not seem to blow real cold. The bmw got pretty cold. I have not been on the freeway though so we will see.
And when he refers to the outside temp, that is unusual because here in Sacramento, it's been 105-110.
The outside temp gauge has a built in buffer delay. It will only change about one degree every couple minutes, no matter how hot or cold it is outside. This keeps it from reading 140 when you get in after leaving the truck parked in the sun for 2 hours.
Man I wish I could read this!
The toy comment caused me to spray Code Red Mt. Dew out of my nose and all over my new 21" flat panel!
But it was funny and unexpected though!

They also have different axles with the F-350 being more "heavy duty." The engine (Power Stroke Diesel) is EXACTLY the same in either, as is the Torq Shift transmission. My recommendation? Go with a 2005 F250 Crew Cab 4WD with the short bed, he'll be more than happy, and under Ford's Family Plan, after rebates and all you can pick them up for about $34k - $36k depending on options. Good luck!
1) The 4x4s have a 2 inch and 4 inch, respectively, above the rear axle for vehicle height
2) the F250s come w/ 'D' rated tires and the F350s come with 'E' rated tires - hence the difference in GVW Ratings; however, I have seen a F250 diesel sock w/ 'E' rated tires.
I agree w/ 02SuperCrew4X - you get more bang for your buck w/ the F250
hope you enjoy your new truck - stop by the SD section and say Hi
