Very nicely done. Started to look like a sand trap on a golf course in that first pic.

Nice job!

Oh Yeah, you have the nicest looking yard in the whole neighborhood.

Look how green his grass is,and how "dead" all the other yards look. Good job RP.

Hey RP,

With the water shortage in Lagrange how do you keep your yard looking that green?

My name ain't RP but I do know those bricks run around $1.69-.89 each 'round these parts. Add equipment rental costs & dirt in your area and vo'la, instant landscaping quotes. I'll ballpark it and say around $500 bones for the package.

That's because RP is running the hose everyday detailing the King Ranch.
The water has to be running onto the grass

Naw, it ain't just the water. It is all the Meguire's products on the grass. He is gonna start pusing them as fertilizer.

I need to one in my front yard. I need a bout 40 feet with about 3 bricks high.

Trust me... it's VERY level. LOL!

No big deal jamz... the stones are $1.77 each at Home Depot... other materials are general purpose sand (for the base) and a few 'common' hand tools (shovel, pick, tamper, rubber hammer, level, etc).

All in all, it's not super expensive but, it is time consuming. You have to make sure that first row is PERFECTLY flat because everything else is based on that... stacking blocks is cake, getting that first row how you want it is a little different monster.

Thanks for the kudos guys...

It only lasted for 4 days or so... that, effectively, killed the flowers in the front yard but, other than that, the yard survived. I cringe to think of what my water bill is going to look like this month...

I am glad that someone noticed the lawn though...

LOL, sounds like my family, always making plans incase the dirty reds invade.

Except we'll have a cooler name then Wolverines.

Oh yeah, and that is an awsome job done as a weekned project. After working at Home Depot for so long and reading all those "Do-it-yourself" books I came up with all these cool ideas, but none of them came to pass.

What, no wall soil load calcualtions,
no geotech borings for foundation support,

This project is under designed.

That wall will come down in 1,000 years

(nice job though)
