Just wanted to introduce myself...

Im soon to be the proud owner of a 98 F-150 4.6L Ext Cab. White with 50k on it. It belonged to a 90 year old man who passed away recently. He bought it new.

I was originally into the import scene for about 5 years, but decided to sell my currect car (Integra) and get something a bit nicer to drive to work everyday.

Future plans for the truck are very mild. The only thing I have planned is to add a flowmaster 40 series I have laying around, and put on some clear coners. Maybe an intake later on, but even thats up in the air.

Anyway, Just wanted to drop everyone a line and say hi. Let me know if there are any websites of FAQ's I should look up before starting to post so I dont appear to be a noob.

Vincent.

Welcome to F150online.com!

Lots of good info here, both in the archives (search feature) and in active discussion...don't be afraid to ask questions, we don't bite. Well, most of us don't.

Most people call me Vince or Vinny, so call me whatever. I dont have pics of it ,but I could get some. Its waiting for me to buy it. My parents bought the previous owners estate and got the truck with it. They are simply waiting untill I sell my car, then ill buy the Ford.

I hate being thought of as a noob, but its true. I have been a member on numerous import sites for years and years, and help many people with tech-questions, but im afraid I dont know much about american muscle. Yet.So I've been hanging low the past few days trying to gather info from searching this forum.

Ill go take some pics today and post them up here for you guys.

There's nothing wrong with that.

Rice goes great with Kimchi or red beans.

Hehe, if it makes you feel better, my first car was a 1968 Buick Riviera 430cid. Perfectly restored. 9mpg.

Yep, I have a swapped integra that needs to go. I never was one of those hard headed "if its american, its crap" import tools. I love all things autmomobile. Its just time to get some torque under my foot

Im looking forward to not having to rev to 7k to reach my peak torque.

Welcome Vince,
You'll have fun here and gain alot of knowledge, not only about your truck but other stuff also. Maybe you'll help us understand why ricers do the things they do?

Hey! Welcome. Kick off your shoes, crack open a cold one and make yourself at home. Just don't use the whole roll of toilet paper when your wiping through all the **** that goes on here. Other people have to use it too you know.

I meant that in a good way.

They are a species unto themselves, I can't help you there. I can only tell you not to feed them after midnight.

Got some pics of the truck, will be uploading them tonight.

PICS PICS PICS

50,5xx miles. All highway, and only about 300 were put on in the past year. Garaged all the time, except for the only hailstorm in recent memory. So its got about 3 hail dents in the hood. They are about the size of half-pennies. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
