Looks good! Cept for them grampa steps on there... hahahaha

You prolly have some tricks from your ricer past, but I have found that something called Spray9 really cleans up the engine really well with just a hose.

You will get most of your torque down low, but don't think that these overhead cams hate to rev. With our 4.6L fivespeed, it will pull all the way up to 5000 and not hurt a thing. You will be limited by the slushbox somewhat, but let it wind out and be suprised what it will do.

Anything in mind performance wise?

I'm sorry though I won't be able to help too much there as all my mods go on my turbo diesel, but others here have hopped up their 4.6Ls and you can too.

Like I said, First things first are a flowmaster 40 series, and i need to find a 4'' intake somewhere. Most Ive seen are 3'' piping.

Other than those two mods and taking off the weird running boards, she is staying as is, minus some tint and clear corners. The badges are going too eventually.

I know all about overhead cam motors, thats why im going for the Ford. Overheadcam > pushrod motors IMO. So it'll pull to 5k, eh? Man....this is going to be wierd. My old engine redlined at 8,400RPM.

I do have some tricks to eek out every ounce of power, afterall you have to try for every ounce of effeciency in a 1.6L motor making 160WHP. But those days are over, and im very much looking forward to whats to come.

Oh yeah, she'll pull 5K just fine. It defuels at 5500. hahahah It was real easy for me to find that with the M5OD, but I'm not sure what your 4R70w will let you get to (or like).

1.6L??? is that a briggs lawnmower engine?

Never heard THAT one before

Is the 4r70w a strong tranny? Is anything usually a weak point on the drivetrain of the 4.6L? Not that im going to be adding a ton of power, but id like to know if I should expect any trouble later on.

Hey, thanks. I like the Lightning rims. They have tires that have a higher speed rating than the Good Years I had, and the wheels are much easier to clean than the old "buzz saw" wheels that were stock. To me the biggest improvement is how clean it looks without the molding on the sides. The bumper and grill look better painted but I'd really like to replace both with something cooler.

Man, you want to make me keep my 01 and put some 18" L wheels on it, instead of trading up for an 05. Do the L rims have a 5" x 135mm bolt pattern like a regular 2wd f150? I can get a set out of MM&FF magazine for like $895 for polished, and something like $1025 for chromed. Your truck looks sick man.

Get you a custom stainless billet grille to go on that bad boy. That should set it right off.
