Hello, my name is Michael I live in Grants Pass, Oregon however I will be moving to Tuscon, AZ in the next two months to start a new job as a Internal Affairs detective.

Anyways, I have a 1973 F-250 "Camper Special" that was willed to me by my grandfather. He bought it new and the truck has 68,000 miles.

Specs:

1973 F-250 "Camper Special" 2-WD, 360 V-8 4bbl, C-6 bone stock down to the orginal AM radio

Photos:

The truck, after I washed it.

It was dirty, no?

Inside the cab

That OEM AM radio I was talking about

The 360 under the hood

Looks to be in pretty good shape for a 73'. It'd be cool to restore that baby and paint it a "Purple Haze" or "Tangerine Orange" off the wall color or something, lower it and put some 18"-20" wheels with some wide tires on it.

If I had the time, I'd be taking the whole truck apart piece by piece and cleaning and painting all the engine, tranny, rearend, under carriage, everything. Then take it to some car/truck shows. That's just a suggestion. Something passed down from a grandfather is something to treasure. And I'm sure he'd be proud. But it looks cool the way it is, if that's what you like.

He's just a Pastor up there at a church I like. Was just curious.

I've been looking at jobs in Tucson lately also. I have family down there, but they all say the heat is unbearable at times. Good luck!

My sister just got rid of 2 of those. Both 4x4, I don't think they were "campers special"'s either. My dad owned a 73 4x4 with the 360 and a PTO wench on the front. The thing could pull a house across a field but you'd be lucky if it got you home afterwards. Thing would run like a top to wherever you went then cough, sputter and gag the whole way home.

I'll never forget that sound "RUMBLE RUMBLE *skip* BANG!, RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE *skip* sputter BANG!"

Nice ride though, would be fun to make it into a street rod.

Welcome!
Ahhhh, you live in Grants Pass!!! I love it there! My favorite restaurant is The Bistro, a little Italian place. I need some of their food. I'm going up to Gold Beach next month. Doing the Jet boat up the Rogue again. How hard to go from Oregon to Arizona.

The box is the trailer electric brake actuator. It senses when you use the brake pedal and actuates the trailer brakes. The **** also allows you to manually activate the trailer brakes independent of the truck brakes.
