Fng

Hello, all!

I found this site today; I enjoy that it's geared towards the F150, instead of every 'other' ford truck known to man.

I'm actually here because my wife's dead set on a F150 SC (99+); She builds furniture, does landscaping and such - and could really use it. Plus, I'm a 'truck guy' at heart - cut my teeth on a 77 Scout II, but was around Ford 4x4's via family members, etc.

I'll mostly be lurking - we don't have a truck yet; the 'plan' is to fix that this summer.

Welcome to the site.

Anything that you could ever want to know can be found here!

Ohh and a little bit about F-150's too.

The search feature at the top of every page on these boards are the best tool that I use more than any other tool in my tool chest. It has saved my butt numerous times in time, money, and frustarations.

Well Hello, FNG.
If you're gonna do it, might as well do it right. I'd highly recommend a Lariat so you have the cushy leather seats, biggest motor, 9.75" rear axle, etc. I'm loving mine, got it for my 39'th birthday back in October. Love it more now that I've upgraded the shocks, tires and transmission.

Thanks y'all...it's always good seeing Vets on boards like this.

<- Prior Active Army, 6 years, 2 years ARNG
<- Current Dept of Army Civilian

The truck my wife has her heart set on is about 200 miles away at a dealership - we're in negotiations now with the Sales guy via email. It's a 2002 F150 SCrew, 5.4L, 33" BFG A/Ts (I can't tell if it's got an aftermarket lift - do 33s typically fit on stock height?), Lariat, 3:55 LSD rear end, leather etc, etc. If the dealer lowers his asking to what we wanna spend, we'll pick it up this weekend.

dmp - doesn't really mean anything - if it did, it'd be darin (&)mary pemberton, I suppose.

We all get along, as long as no one mouths about the way that we park.

Edited to add:
Sorry Jamz, I had resisted making commments as long as I could. I even told myself that I wouldn't because I've been there beofre. However I couldn't resist I had to jump on the bandwagon.

Howdy

Yes, 33's fit stock trucks without a lift or trimming anything, look in my gallery to see what it looks like. I think it is the size that ford should have put on these trucks.

I see that you have a Kawi ZX-6R, I go to pick mine up Saturday

Thanks for the welcome -

I'm quite familiar with the search and forums and people getting pissed at n00bs asking the same-ol questions. It's like that on just about every board - I'll try to not ruffle any feathers.

Here's the truck we're 95% gonna pick up for my wife...

Here's the ZX6 - since you mentioned it!....
