Heinekens and whiskey ( preferably CC straight up )

The BEST hangover remedy is pedialyte ...
Better and quicker then anything else period.. gives back things the alcohol
robbed you of. But then again if you're that lousy at drinking that you don't
know when to say when, then drinking is something you should consider
NOT doing ...

I drank more in high school than I do now. I hardly drink now... but my favorite has always been a long island iced tea. I used to like margaritas until I got sick off of 8 of them in Cali (damn 2 for 1 drinks..lol).

Thats good enough reason for me to drink one a day. So go take your **** comments some where else.

How long have you been drinking? Seriously, drinking alcohol to prevent kidney stones ? So, how many kidney stones did you get before you realized that you had better start drinking alcohol to prevent them?

Try drinking the same volume in water and you will realize that you don't need a drink a day to keep from getting kidney stones. It does sound like a good excuse to drink though!

She should be taken out and shot. And where'd you get this dumb idea that alcohol is a cure for kidney stones?

Kidney Stones: Sufficient fluid keeps the urine diluted and decreases the risk of stone formation. Go easy on alcoholic and caffeine beverages, which tend to dehydrate. (“Kidney Stones: Myths and Facts,” UC Berkeley Wellness Letter, March 1998)

If you lived here and grew up here all your life, you wouldn't think that or you'd of moved by now.

I started drinking the summer going into 9th grade. My first kidney stone was at the age of 8 years old. All I drink is water or alcohol now. I drink about 10 bottles of water every day on a regular basis. I tried the water thing before I started drinking a beer a day and I'd still get them. Thats a good enough reason for me to drink a beer a day and party a little because kidney stones suck.

OK I dont want to sound ignorant, but I just cant stand this anymore....Thumper..."F" these guys. If you want to drink to have fun..DO IT!! If it helps with your kindey stones..DO IT. You guys need to lay off. You are not Thumper..Is anyone who replied with a derogatory comment or "medical advise" a doctor?? If so, speak up, maybe email him and let him know the pros and cons. But nobody but Thumper can know for sure if the beer a day works. He says it does, so let him be. For wahtever reason alot of you guys have a thing for him and you need to let it go. He's 17 years old, for god sake. What was the leagal drinking age when you were his age? 18 right,,and im sure you went out and had your fun. One more year and if he wants, the government will give him a helmet and a gun and send him into combat to fight for YOUR freedom. Will you bash him for taking a drink then? I think not.So hes young and has a sweet truck, nice mods, a bike.. and whatever else he has. Good for you Thumper.. I wish I was that lucky when I was your age.. I hate to say lucky, because your not..have you guys looked at his gallery and seen the pictures of his back. To me, it looks like he was close to being paralized. And that would just plain SUK!!! Again, I dont mean to be an a$$hole, and I know this is a public board and you can say what you want. But didn't your parents ever teach you if you dont have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all?

OK I'm done now.
Drink of choice..Captain Morgan and Coke with a lime (Captain Select when I feel like I deserve it)
Most of the time the beer is Miller Lite, most of my buds like it so I alwasy have it around, along with Corona and some type of import. This week was Blue Moon.

Preventing a hangover....Forget about it
Solving the Hangover...2 asprin washed down with a can of Mountain Dew..sleep for another half hour and you'll be good as gold.

Talking

Dont they always say a glass of red wine a day keeps the doctor away? Just what i have heard.

True or not...one of my buddies claims eating lots of bread and milk before you go to bed and that will prevent a hang over. Never tried it so i wouldnt know.

THE BEST WAY....to prevent a hangover...simple...never stop drinking

...wait i guess that makes me an alcoholic

Hey ZAP...Hieneken?? I had a few bad experiences with the old red star when I was in germany. Havent touched the stuff since.

Trytokeepup...I have always drank and still do, a glass or two of milk before I drink. I guess the old myth is it will coat your stomach and keep you from getting sick. Who knows if it works, maybe its just a mental thing
P.S. you need more pics in your gallery..the 99 was my first ruck. I loved that thing.

young and old...let's see...you'll find out...alcohol is different for everybody... you'll either be able to handle it or not and if you can, enjoy it while you can, but don't kill yourself because of it (i.e. drinking and driving - not recommended). Haven't we all heard of that 105 year old man you has his pint of whiskey a day? Do what makes you happy, that's what keeps you young. Be happy! ...mrs. zap!

Sorry, but encouraging underage drinking is ignorant.

I am sad that the webmaster and the moderators have allowed this post to continue seeing that it encourages minors to drink. I do not have kids, but I would not want them reading through this post, thinking that it was okay to start drinking by the 9th grade.

When did you first start? I never said start driking before age 21 - but as kids, we all make mistakes and I think the sooner, the better, and the better at chance of survival - don't you? I do NOT encourage under age drinking at all, but as kids they make mistakes... didn't we all?, give them a chance...mrs. zaps!

Im not saying that drinking in the 9th grade is ok. And I honestly didnt want my post to sound like I was encouraging drinking at all, reguardless of age. My main point was that nobody can tell Thumper what works and doesnt work for him. It just burns my a$$ when people do that. No matter what is said here, someone is gonna get twisted about it. Whether its about tire size, politics, religion, abortion, or in this case drinking. But thats ok. Im about to go to bed and Im not gonna loose any sleep over it. I was voicing my opinion as others are. And again, im of the opinion that if he wants to drink, his parents know about it due to his dad and uncle having the same issue, well then rock on, drink your beer and be happy, because if you have to break them stones up and pi$$ them out, you're not gonna be a happy camper.

IMO, the drinking of alcohol by any person under the legal age of 21 is not cool. Sooo many kids do it, that it's that much of a turnoff to me. What happened to not following the crowd, staying away from drinking and not thinking it's cool just to 'get away from your problems' until the alcohol makes you become so depressed in thinking about it, that it just ****s you up more? I frown upon it, this thread is disappointing to say the least. Thumper has been to doctors about his back,,,, do you really think the doctors would suggest for him, a beer a day for the kidney stones? Thumper, have you had this problem even checked out/diagnosed by a physician? I think whatever the case, a legal civil doctor would not recommend any sort of alcohol to keep you stone-free. If you are over 21 and drinking, I have nothing to argue about, but for those UNDER 21, it's just bad taste. Alcohol = adult world, enjoy and savor the time when you don't have to deal with where to hide the bottle so no one sees it, enjoy the time when you don't have to worry about beer on your breath and getting busted by your rents. It's not that cool!! I think the only reason kids do it, is not to get drunk but to just see if they can get away with what they aren't supposed to do. Then when the time comes and you're all legal and ****, the cool 'drinking' factor has expired. sigh.
