Possible steering column short

I have a 1997 F-150 Lariat. When I have the steering wheel tilted down, I have no turn signals or brake lights, running lights work. With the wheel in the full upright position everything is fine. Has anyone experienced this and repaired? What was the fix? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
George

Welcome to f150 online.
If you look or search in the Electrical section you will find a few posts about the harness or connector pulling apart in the column.
This forum is for BSing.
Again welcome

No prob, bud. It just came off as a little harsher than you intended. I am as guilty of that as anybody. Especially when I haven't had my coffee yet.

To answer your question:

I had this problem in my 98 F150. My dealership told me I had a short in a wire in the turn signal. $65 fix courtesy of the service department.
