I have one now waiting for dissassembly. I just bought a new one 2 weeks ago. I dont know when I might have time so I might run it up to my local VFW and let them retire it with a proper ceremony too.

I must add, that I am dissapointed that I am the only one in my neighborhood that has the flag flying. I am just glad that I am not afraid to show my colors!

I remember a time not too many years ago when this country was galvanized and you could not find a flag for sale anywhere. Also, every car in town across America had a flag flying out of the side window or a sticker on the rear window. You remember, it was 9/11/01. What happened to that patriotism?
We are still at war (whether you support it or not) and our troops, men and women, are being killed every day. We should at the very least put the flag up Monday in their honor.
I may live in Florida now but I am from Rumson N.J. so yes 9/11/01 hit very close to home for me.

I went too NYC for the aftermath with my department and I will never forget, but it dosen't take a flag too truly love your country and be a "PATRIOT"!

NO, I don't support the war or reasons for it but I support ALL of the troops and wish them and their families the very best! Tell me again why we attacked Iraq when all the 9/11 terrorist were Saudi, and Jordanian? I certainly can understand Afghanastan....they harboured terrorist and their training camps...why Iraq??

GOD bless America

Been in our house for 11 years in August. Installed the flag the first week we moved in( have replaced it 4 times do to wear and weather) and never plan on taking it down. I flew mine long before 911, but have seen maybe 6 or 7 houses on my road add a flag after that day. A house is not a home without "old glory" flapping in the breeze..

I keep the flag flying all the time. Unfortunately, I'm the only one on my street that does.

Sadaam also harbored and gave safe haven to terroists. Not to mention he and his sons were murdering thugs who liked to invade neighboring countries raping and pillaging along the way. He also paid terorist's families who killed Isrealis in suicide bombings. The world is a better place without the three of them. We also let Sadaam screw with us for 12 years and finally gave him an ultimatem which he ignored, so I support the war in Iraq. It's just too bad we did not kill him along with his two scum sons. Perhaps we should turn him over to the family members of some of the people he tortured and then murdered.
I guess you are right about the flag though. (some of us are proud to be Americans and are not afraid to show it).
Why people refuse to show respect for fallen Americans on one day out of the year is absolutely beyond me!

I totally forgot to put the flag out dispite the fact that it's right next to the front door. It was pouring down all weekend so I dont know if I should have put it out anyway. Guess I'll have to check the flag faq. It will be out most the summer.
