Who's flying the flag this weekend?

Personally, I always have mine up but sadly, I've counted all of four houses in my neighborhood with the flag out. The least we can do is show our patriotism and respect for those who have served and died for our country, and those still serving on M Day.

I've been wearing my collection of Old Navy flag shirts, culled over the years on July 4th...that way, wherever I go, I will be flying the flag. :)

Flying my flag @ my Mom's house - no place here to put it. I can't put holes in the house (I rent) so I have to fly it at my Mom's instead. It's only fitting - my Dad was a vet (US Navy/USS Missouri - Korea) & 2 of my Mom's Uncles served in the Army in WWI - 1 died there & is buried in France & the other made it home but was never the same - he was gassed & was lucky to even survive. I wish I could have met him but that was WAY before I was born.
God Bless to those who gave their all & to those serving today.

Let's also remember...........you don't need a flag too love your country and respect and cherish the men and women who have died protecting it.

You know

George, I love my wife and kids too but if I never told/showed them they might not know it.
I remember a time not too many years ago when this country was galvanized and you could not find a flag for sale anywhere. Also, every car in town across America had a flag flying out of the side window or a sticker on the rear window. You remember, it was 9/11/01. What happened to that patriotism?
We are still at war (whether you support it or not) and our troops, men and women, are being killed every day. We should at the very least put the flag up Monday in their honor.
I may live in Florida now but I am from Rumson N.J. so yes 9/11/01 hit very close to home for me.

Flying high every day...

60 seconds....wow it seems forever....waiting for that post delay...

I don't fly mine constantly only because I don't have the proper lighting it deserves (afctually both my front & side porchlights are broken).

It will be out flying proudly tomorrow as it does on several other holidays.

Ahh.......glad to see some of you know your American flag etiquette.
With the proper night lighting and bringing it down in foul weather.
Just curious, has anyone else retired any American flags??
